Changing to big car seat

Well, Toby is coming up 11 months and is now in a forward facing group 1 car seat, which he absolutely loves. BUT it has interfered with his sleeping something chronic!

He used to fall asleep in his car seat on school runs etc and I would carry him in and he would sleep on for an hour or so. But now, every time he falls asleep I have to fish hiim out the car and he wakes up, getting all grumpy and refusing to go back to sleep inside. He's never been one for going into his cot during the day, we had enough trouble getting him to sleep in it at night so I don't want to muck that up too. The thing is that it doesn't make him sleep any longer at night - if anything he gets overtired and sleeps worse!!

Anyone else had this problem?

Can't help you I'm afraid. Though it is one of the reasons we are still using a rear facing one (plus Q is has only just reached 9kg). He only sleeps with boob so I relish the times he falls asleep in the car and I can bring him into the house asleep and have a cup of coffee
