Celebrating baby's birth

I'm not christened our family are pretty agnostic all ceremony's we've had have been humanist. O/h's family however would not consider not christening a child. I/h says the baby would go to hell if it died  so looks like it means a lot to him to get the baby christened. Therefore, he can organise it I say (bet you it doesn't happen). I'm not opposed but I'm not for it either iykwim?

Don't know if it helps hun but this website explains that even without christening baby would not 'go to hell' but would still 'go to heaven' if died and not christened.......

there's got to be some compromise surely? I don't think it's right to say LO would go to hell as that sounds horrible and from what I've read simply isn't true from christian religion perspective. Hope that helps? xx
