CD10 - Should I do an OPK?

Oh, sorry to hear that hun. :(

When I was in the shower earlier I could feel an achey/crampy feeling where I normally get AF, if I hadn't had it already (last week I think) I would have sworn it was the witch.

I was so excited about using the OPKs because I wanted to see the progression of them getting darker but now, for some reason, I feel so helpless and miserable. :(

Thanks Hun :hugs:

AF is so annoying, isn't it?!

Once you actually start doing them you'll feel better about it I'm sure. You just have to go for it & try. You'll get that excited feeling back, I promise. :)

Yup, AF is a real pain in the bum. :(

I'm still going to give them a go, just still trying to decide when. :( x

I'd say start using them in the next couple of days, by about CD12 at the latest in case this is a short cycle for you.

You've got 50 haven't you? You could start today? ;)

MissJ i think the body temp thing is really difficult to get right, if i were you i would order lots of cheap OPK's and start using them now right through. ur cycle is so difficult to guess that i would just go for the OPK's right the way throughout xx

I agree with positivity, my temp isn't always clear & it can be affected by so many factors.

I have had a good temp shift after Ov but it's more supporting my OPKs than confirming Ov & being supported by the OPKs if you know what I mean. They work well together but I trust the OPKs more than temp. :)

Hiya Jen, I know what you mean but because of my cycles being so varied it's not worth missing out on the surge. x x

To be honest I think I'm getting fed up of TTC and doubt I'll be around much because it's driving me nuts. I think I'm going wrong because I'm trying too hard!! x

Hi Miss J,

I completely get how you are feeling about TTC and trying too hard I feel the same too.

If you use the OPKs you will hopefully detect your LH surge however this does not confirm OV, why don't you get your doctor to do you a CD21 blood test, this for you will need to 7 days after the positive OPK you will get.

I really don't mean to stress you out further Hun but it can be likely that with a longer cycle that you don't OV, you may be absolutely fine but I think it would be good for you have conformation that all is well then you can really relax and get busy! :bd:

xx

Miss j wasn't you going to the doc anyway or was that for a test before AF? I agree with such long cycles j would want tests xx

I agree with jenny maybe start at CD14? Good luck and lots of :dust: for this month xxx

Hiya girls, I decided on starting OPKs around CD14 and throughout cycle.

Will not be getting blood tests done, if we don't do it this cycle then I think we will be dropping from TTC to NTNP. :)

The reason we don't want to get blood tests done is because we want to at least give the OPKs a go and see what happens. If I get caught by AF then we might consider getting my bloods done but until then, we're just going to take it as it comes.
