So my last period lasted 2 weeks (24th sept - 8th oct) and I'm now CD 43! Had a tiny bleed (a tea spoon full) on the 12 October but nothing since! Been doing tests most mornings and they are all bfn :eh:

Nope! I had the Inplant taken out early June but have been pretty regular since (28-30 day cycle) never had a 2 week period before then a big gap like this! :(

I don't know much about the implant but you've had periods since so I assume it's not that. And I would think a test would start showing something by now if you were preg. Maybe it was an annovulatory cycle?

I would be tempted to go to the dr but they will probably just shrug it off like they did with me when I had two week periods with a 24 day cycle and at one point I bled the whole cycle! That turned out to be PCOS...

Maybe wait and see what happens over the next few months? X

If it doesn't come within a week I think il make an app (which then takes another week to get!) oh god I hope there's nothing wrong with me :( I did do ovulation strips and I do think I ovulated a few days after the period stopped. Ah this is terrifying x

My cycles ranged from 26-42 days, turns out it was PCOS and the pill that I had been on for nearly 10 years was masking the issue. Maybe ask dr for hormone blood tests to check, if they come back abnormal they will send you for a scan xx

Please don't be worried. There are things they can do and Lisa is proof you can get pregnant if it is PCOS!

If it is, just be aware that you can get false readings on ov tests.

It took me years to get a diagnosis but I was SO happy when I finally did in June this year. They did tell me it was 'incurable', but after eight or so weeks of being on metformin (a diabetes drug), a scan yesterday confirmed my ovaries are no longer polycystic :)

I haven't TTC on metformin naturally as we were gearing up for IVF and told not to, but lots of ladies have got pregnant once they have found out what the problem was and given the right meds! Xxx

Hi Ashley, I had the implant for a total of 12 years before ttc. I had it taken out in August last year, waited for 6 weeks for my first period and then went straight into 28 day cycles. However, I think about 4 months later things started to not be quite as right! I think it took a while to fully get the implant out of my system and that was masking what was really going on! This may just be the end of the implant hormones and hopefully things will settle into a 'real' regular cycle for you. Good luck xx

I think I might make a doc app as AF is still not here and done a test this morning - still bfn! Oh I hope it's not PCOS :( I looked up symptoms and right enough my hair has been falling out quite a lot! :(

Hi Ashley

I had an implant for 4.5 years. It made me put on alot of weight, irregular cycles, and I was just a psycho on it

I got it removed and it took a full year for the implant to fully be out of my system. We were ntnp for a year and nothing happened. Once the year mark hit I dropped all the weight and my cycles regulated, my skin was even better. The only thing that did not return was my natural CM.

When we began ttc we used c+ as I was so dry, luckily after cycle 1 of ttc we got our bfp.

I would never get the implant back in, its awful. After having my wee boy my body went back to normal, CM returned too and now since not having a non hormonal contraceptive I have found I am more in sync with my body.

Give yourself time. If your cycles dont settle by 6m post removal you could try agnus cactus, some ladies try this to shorten and regulate cycles.

Good luck.

xxxx

Thanks for your help and advice everyone. Well I done another test this morning - still negative. Thing is my son has only just turned 1 so I know I can conceive...I'm just scared it's going to take forever this time! Iv ordered some Agnus cActus...I'd never heard of it before so hopefully that brings me on!

*waiting patiently*

At least you've started a new cycle now, hope AF isn't too long this time though. Have you been to Drs yet?

No I haven't been to the doctors. I started taking Agnus castus and it came the same day! (Coincidence?!) however I'm going to take it throughout the cycle and see if it helps. AF is so heavy though I'm totally drained!

That's how mine was when I had a 47 day cycle. Not sure if Agnus Castus would work that quick, I'm going to start taking it next cycle (if I don't get a BFP this cycle) to see if I can regulate.

Hope this is the end of your problems now x
