I got my cat spayed not so long ago
My mum says they cut out the womb when they do it
But my cat now is showing symptoms of pregnancy
e.g. turning into fatty
and wanting to eat all the time
has this happened to any1 els eim slightly worried as i cant be dealing with kittens again and the vet should of made sure properly grrrr

A lot of cats turn into fattys once they have been spayed and they can become lazy to, they can have phantom pregnancies but it is pretty rare.

What other symptoms is she having and how long ago was it she was spayed?

she was spayed in oct
it just seems like way she was b4 when she did have kittens
but my mum is sayin she cant possibly be because they cut away the womb!!
she is demanding food ALL the time n its like she has breakfast goes out n then comes in for dinner n then goes out again n she is getting so fat!! lol

Sounds like she is just being a fatty, like i said it does happen after they have been spayed, maybe just cut down on the amount of food you give her per meal, that way she might not get so chunky.

its the constant ehinign for food that annoys me haha
she used 2 be so small n petit i mean look at this pic

n now she hugge lol n she has same amount of food but now goes out romping around so i though she wulda lost weight if nething

We had our tom cat Toby done last december, he has gained weight!

We had our kitty done on the 17th of this month she had her stitches out this morning!

I was hoping we could take her collar off today but they said take it off in a couple of days so she's still moping around the house with it on poor lil thing i feel really sorry for her!

Resident Vet Nurse here:
When the cat is spayed the ovaries and the uterus is removed so there is no way that she could have kittens.

But the vet should have warned you on discharge that after spaying they are prone to putting more weight on. And so should be fed sensibly.
Have you tried a higher fibre food.

I do belive that Hills have brought out a spayed cat diet food.

Also have you wormed her recently?

Or it might be an empathic pregnancy! Cats are pretty sensitive and maybe shes picking up on your pregnancy and getting phantom symptoms!

Shes absolutly gorgous by the way!

She has a tiny bit of asdas tinned meat and whiskas dry food grrr i think raegans gonna have to go on a diet hahaha
mummy can join her once rileys here!! :D

I wouldnt supply her with a buffet per se everyday i would give her the main meals that she needs but if there is food out for her all the time she will eat and eat and eat and this isnt healthy for her... :)

ah she just has brekky n dinner neway i dnt leave the food dwn n i kick her out 4 the day aha Hmm
culd sum1 else be feeding her?

could be, but most likely just putting on more weight due to the spaying..i wouldnt worry...unless you cant see her ankles anymore? :rotfl:

Its just I wouldnt want to be letting her get fat and unhealthy so her lifes cut short I love her muchly
