I know your meant to get it during pregnancy but I've got it after. It's pretty mild but I breastfeed and holding LO in position is vital. I'm gonna try just taking paracetamol to manage.

Anyone else found this has started for them since having LO? Xx

Ive got a nerve test in 2 weeks to check whether or not i have carpel tunnel in my left hand. I have almost no feeling in the first 2 fingers and thumb and at night and early morning it blooming hurts. I take diclofenac as required and paracetamol and ive also had acupuncture which has helped quite a bit. I tried a splint for a little while but it hurt more than it helped. From what i have found online it can be common in breast feeding mums due to the repetitive position of our wrists while feeding. Im really hoping that i can be treated without needing surgery as it would be pretty difficult looking after LO with one hand out of action for 4 weeks. It could be worth discussing with you GP incase that do anything to stop it getting any worse.

I'm suffering terribly with it. I had it during my pregnancy, and now I can't move my hands for about 30 mins when I first wake up.

I just get on with it and hope that one day it will go away, I literally have no grip anymore - bad enough that I can't unscrew the tops off Aarons bottles

My LO is nearly 11 months and it's taken this long for it to more or less subside. I get the odd flare up at night normally around AF time. Noone tells you about these things lingering after bubs is born grrrrrrrr.

I'm thinking that this is what is wrong with my left hand. Thumb, 1 and 2 fingers feel numb/pins and needles every morning and hurt when close into fist. Also swell at night so can't wear rings :-( Has been like this since I had LO and he's nearly 6 months old. Thinking it's time to make GP appointment?

I got some sports wrap around wrist supports to wear at night which help massively. LO is nearly 11 months old and I still get the odd mild flare up. 6 months post birth it was still causing me a lot of problems so has subsided since then. I prob should have told the docs but I hate going.

Using Tapatalk can't see no tickers grrrrr.

Mine has started to ease a bit now - Aaron is 3 months.

I still have no grip, so falling off the side of a cliff currently isn't an option for me

I had both my carpal tunnels decompressed a few years ago. Didn't get a bit of bother in pregnancy but its niggled time and again since the birth 9 weeks ago. This last few mornings has been sore. I mentioned it to the gp a few weeks ago and he seemed to think its cause we still carry fluid after the birth. Mmmm, not sure that's the cause of mine but its interesting a few of us have symptoms. I'm not sure what to make of mine seeing as it seems to be getting worse not better and I've had the surgery to release both! Xx

Sent from my BlackBerry using Tapatalk-its rubbish tho so can't see tickers or upload pics!

oh I have this - its so horrible - my hands have constant pins and needles and hurt at night and in the day and every other possible time! booooo x

I remember having this after my son was born! But not so much in pregnancy.

Mine lasted for quite a while after, I went back to work when he was 5 months old, and I am a therapist and could not do certain massage moves as my hands just wouldnt turn like they used to!!

All went back to normal in the end =though! xxx

That's one ofthereasons I gave up my job as a therapist, my hands were ruined By massage and reflexology. It's sore again this morning which is really strange as I've not had any problems for a few years since the surgery! Good to know it goes back to normal though. Ouch :( xxx
