You can freeze it, just make sure you cook it al dente then rinse it in cold water quickky, this stops it being mushy when defrosted. Cooked pasta always freezes better in a tomato based sauce.
I have tried a number of different ways to freeze pasta but I dont think it freezes very well at all. I have now started to just freeze any sauces I make and then cook the pasta fresh when I need it and just add the defrosted sauce when cooking.
Best thing is to experiment with small quantities and see what you think but I have never had great results.
