Can I use this middle name...

My Mum's maiden name is 'King' and we are considering it as a middle name (we are TTC) ... we love the way it sounds and looks with our possible baby names & surname...... but is it too weird as a middle name?

My husband has his mother's maiden name as his middle name, as does his Dad - so it's a family tradition of sorts on my husband's side. I wouldn't burden my child with my maiden name, but I do like the name King.

I'm hoping as long as we stay away from the first names Wayne or Jo it is acceptable?!

I think it's fine as a middle name. I do actually know a Joanne King. I'm not entirely sure her parents realised it would end up being Jo King.

My LB has my mums maiden name as his middle name. Its James though lol!

But still, what ever name I think its always nice to keep names in the family.

I quite like King as a first name too tbh, it be a nice addition.

My LO has my dads name in the middle as he got his dads family name.

I see no trouble at all with King as a middle name, girl or boy - it's quite nice and interesting. My brother and I have my mother's maiden name as a middle name, and that's Mason, which is technically a boy's name, I suppose!

I think King is pretty cool. If you weren't too sure about just King, you could go for Kingsley so you have it in there in a different way X

I know of a little boy called Kingston and he gets called King. If you like it, go for it
