Hi ladies,

I'm on my 15th month of ttc. I came off the pill in June 2012 and had just been referred to the fertility clinic when I got my first ever bfp in July this year. Tests showed I ov'd but OH's sperm showed that only a quarter were swimming in the right direction. Not massively bad but not entirely great.

Unfortunately it wasn't meant to be and I had a mmc at 9+3 but baby hadn't developed past 5 or so weeks. I know that it wasn't my fault and couldn't be helped but it doesn't make it any easier.

AF left me at the start of the week which was my first period since mc so looking forward to getting back to trying. We did have unprotected sex in the time between my mc an my period but didn't catch. I hope I catch again soon but something is niggling me that it won't be so easy.

Hey purplepebbles!

I came off the pill 2 months after you and still hoping for that first BFP so I'm pretty cynical too. However, all the ladies on here are fabulous and manage to give you a bit of a nudge if you're feeling low and join you in the madness of symptom spotting and wishing and hoping for the 2 week wait. Hope you get your BFP soon!

I'm Anna, I have been trying since aug 2012. I have pcos and don't ov on my own. About to start clomid next week.

Hi to you all

Marcel - I might just leave it a few months, perhaps until the new year before going back to the doctors if I haven't caught by then. I'm just worried that they wont be able to do anything seeing as I did get pregnant.

I had to have a scan today, as at my last one, they found a small cyst on my right ovary. I had quite severe pain a couple of weeks ago so managed to get a slightly earlier scan (by a week!) which was today. The cyst has gone and everything appeared normal. They couldn't say if the cyst had always been there or if it was part of the pregnancy but main thing that it has gone. Just got to start back at the bottom of the TTC ladder now! xx

Did you get your OH on some vits to try and boost his sperm a bit? I've known a few ladies on here had success with this when spermies have had issues.
Also, don't give up. I've been through a combination of it taking ages to concieve and rmc, I started ttc in sept 2010! For some of us its a longer road, but as long as you can stay determined, you'll do it. This forum has kept me sane!

He's on vit c and zinc. I have to keep reminding him to take it though even though I've put them right next to the kettle!

One of my friends husband had worse sperm issues than us and she's due in February!

Definitely not giving up, I've invested too much to just throw it all away. Just wish I didn't think about it so much! Xx

After my 3rd mc I started having reflexology which really helped me relax about it all. Dh and I stopped planning our lives around it, both went for new jobs and booked some great holidays. This approach for us speeded up the bfps, even if they weren't both sticky. This pg was our second cycle after 4th mc, my pb

I don't know much about which vits are best but I've seen quite a few threads on this before. My dh is awful at taking any pills too though!!

My sister does reflexology and I've asked her to work on my feet again though I feel bad asking for it on a regular basis as although it's not her day to day job, she needs time out a weekends with her family than rubbing my feet for an hour! I do love it though! Xx

Hiya,

I went through similar, was just being seen by fertility as was trying for a year after 2 previous miscarriages. I had a few initial tests and then fell pregnant. I too had a mmc and the fertility wouldn't see me after as I fell pregnant but I hope that's different for you.

I cannot recommend wellman conception vits enough, my OH had low motility, only 18% progressive motility, after taking the vits for a couple of months, they went to around 80% so huge difference and I think we fell pregnant once they had worked their magic as his most recent SA was done just before the bfp xx

How long in between your mc's did you seek help? I guess I just worry that they won't help us now that I have managed to get pregnant.

I think I bought some wellman stuff but he was taking it with his dinner and kept forgetting or was eating out at his parents. Plus it was expensive and would only take it if I paid for it! It's hard to get it across to him that he needs to help too, not just it being down to me to cut stuff out or take vitamins. I may have to look into it again xx

Hiya, well I had two miscarriages-6 months apart and then after the second mc we had been trying a year when they said they would refer us. Some ladies on here at the time said I should have been able to be seen a year from when we started ttc, regardless of any mc's inbetween so I think it varies really. I called them after my MC to see if they would still see me and they said no think it must vary though. Hopefully your hospital will be better with supporting you.

I know what you mean in regards to OH not trying as hard. I had to really have a stern word with mine about vits cos he was reluctant and embarrassed about it. It does work out expensive but I look around for deals online and 3 for 2 in boots and stuff xx
