c section question...

i had a really long and scary labour last time which ended in an emergency section, im booking myself in for one this time as im quite small and im not built for squeezing out babies lol.. just wondering if any of u know how many wks they do an elective section at.. i wont find out until im 35 wks but wud like some kind of idea...

I think thats something only your consultant can answer as it would be specific to you. I'd think they would leave you to reach term however at 37 weeks. But ask when you next see your MW what the possible timing would be and when you see your consultant s/he can let you know more.

Dafydd was breech for me and they told me they try and give sections in the 39th week now. Suppose different hospitals have different ways tho.

From what I've heard, they book electives around 38-39 weeks around here, I guess they do it a bit early to reduce the chance of you going into labour!
