i'd like to have a few days away after the wedding but obviously i'll be heavily pregnant and not able to fly, has anyone here been to haven or butlins resorts? if so, do you rate them? and are they good for a 2 and a half year old? many thanks

We like Haven for short breaks - we take my niece, nephew and DS. Being taking my niece since she was 3 and she loves it - but she has the two older boys to play with. You are limited in things to do with a 2 1/2 year olds but you can swim, lots of play areas/greens to run around in and there's clubs at night that have children's entertainment - altho it may be a little too old for toddlers they generally enjoy all the music and characters etc even if they can't join in..and of course they'll be non smoking by then :D

We went to butlins in skeg last month and had a fab time! We went half board and the food was great (buffet restaurant)

If you go online you can get some good deals! We paid £130 for a standard apartment! The apartment was ok but for i do think we will go for a silver next time, i think it was only £20 dearer!

There is also 'British Holidays'. They merged with Haven I think and got some parks off them (?), so may be more widely spread and cheaper than the other two though exactly the same sort of thing. Me and my OH went on a Sun Holiday a few weeks ago when I was pushing 30 weeks pregnant and though I don't have a little child yet, there were lots of young kids around and the families all seemed pretty happy.

No long been back from Kiln park in wales and we had one hell of a time, the place was gross :puke: saying that the other two we've been too have been fine.

Must admit we prefer butlins! More to do and cheaper tbh

I go butlins many times year we love it so much

We got to skeggness one & are going in August & november cant wait

If ya can afford it i recommend Gold appartment & bed & breakfast as you get a separate resturant and it well worth the money

I like those kinds of place but to be honest now we are really into renting a cottage by the seaside instead, it works out the same price if not cheaper and you get more room and can choose the perfect location for you.

Went to butlins in skegness a couple of months ago for the first time - it was horrific - worst holiday I've ever had in my entire life.

I wouldn't go back if you paid me - not ever ever ever!
