Hi I haven't had my 25 week check as have had to move midwifes and the bank holiday, so have an appointment on tuesday I will be 26 weeks.

Just wondering how much your bumps measured or if you haven't had it measured yet?

Was going to measure mine but not sure where from or too to measure it.

I had 24 week appointment last week, they didnt measure, apparently they dnt measure until nxt appointment where ill be 28 week x

Ah ok so It wont be this appointment thanks ladies.

I first got measured at 18 weeks and my last appointment which was the thursday just gone (24 week appointment) i got measured i was measuring 2 weeks behind but i didnt think they would measure until 28 weeks xx

I wish they would have measured me, something extra to look forward to rather than in and out in 5 min!

If they do measure you, it's normally +-2cm either side of your number of weeks. So for example, if you are 26 weeks, anything between 24 and 28cm is perfectly fine. Fundal height measurements aren't hugely accurate anyway, I'm always measuring over a week ahead xx

I was wondering where you get measure on your bump as well as I measured mine as I thought was correct looking at a website but I measure mine to be 35cm so I am doing something wrong :) or I am huge for my weeks.

i got measure at my 22 week appointment. She poked and prodded to find the top of my cervix, then measured from there down to the top of my pubic bone. I measure slightly ahead of my dates, but i know exactly when I ovulated so my dates are wrong anyway!

i dont think I would be able to do the measurement myself, cause not sure where to start from either

I won't be measured until my 28 week appointment. They measure from the top of your pubic bone to top of your uterus x x

I was measured at my 25 week + 28 week appointments.. Both weeks I measured a week behind (24cm + 27cm).. But i think 2cm either side is considered normal xx

If I'm remembering correctly I was measured at 24 wks last time by a doctor he pressed so hard on my pubic bone he buised me I only remember seeing that doctor at 24 wks so that must be right. I'm sure they're not all that rough though .lol xx

i started gettin measured at my 29 week appointment x

does anyone know what it means if you measure too small/or too big? I havent been measured yet, but this is just another thing for me to worry about LOLxx

As leesey says it was the way they did things before scans and they still do it along side the scans now but they are in no way accurate and are usually out by roughly 2cms either way anyway so don't worry about it if there was a worry the midwife or doctor will just sent you for a scan to check it properly so there's nothing to worry about .I personally hate the way the medical specialists like to plot us all on graphs and measuring grids , I'm a person not a dot on your growth chart ! lol xx

I was measured at 24 weeks and was 25cm - the midwife (or so you call them mid-husband if they are a man?) told me its roughly 1cm per week so I was a little bit bigger
