Right this is pregnancy number 9 for me, so I'm an old hat at miscarriage sadly. May be heading for another. I'm 7+3 today, brown spotting this morning, got heavier on pad and wiping today, but seems to have stopped for a bit. I had a UTI 2 weeks ago, antiobiotics, all cleared. Got all shivery and hot this afternoon so midwife thought it might be another UTI. Phoned GP and took in a sample but she wanted to see me. She said UTIs don't cause brown blood? Everything online suggests otherwise so I'm just wondering your experiences?

I've already seen my jellybean's wee heartbeat so I genuinely thought I was keeping this one. My other miscarriages have always been <6.5 weeks so never saw a heartbeat in any of them. Both pregnancies where I saw a heartbeat in an early scan resulted in two healthy wee girls!

So I can't figure out whether to resign myself to another mc or actually hold out hope (hope is a nasty thing when you're almost guaranteed to be disappointed at the end of it).

So what's your experiences with brown blood, UTI or no UTI, did everyone's end in mc?

Honest answers on a postcard please!

I got told I had uti couple weeks back this is my 8 th pregnancy 4 girls 4 mmc I’ve had brown discharge also since being treated I have my 12 week scan Tomorrow so Everything ok it’s horrible not knowing what’s going on

Got a scan at the EPAU and jellybean is still there going strong, turns out I have a bicornate uterus and half my uterus is shedding like a period, and the other half is pregnant :o How strange. Definitely wasn't expecting good news when I went, so very relieved :)

Good news I had my 12 week scan today too and I’m measuring a week in front and all is well!!
