Brown blood for af

Has anyone ever had just brown d/c and brown blood as a period ? I am on day 6 of this. I quite often have 2 days of pale brown dc pre af but this has stayed brown the while time bar 1 day of some really really dark almost black looking dc then it's went watery brown now. Never seen actual red blood. Really worried its a bad sign? Half way through IVF waiting list and hoping I am not going into early menopause or something?

Only time I had this was once around 8dpo when I started bleeding brown blood for nearly 2 weeks before it turned red. Not sure if that was a failed implantation or a sign of something with this brown stuff again?

Hey. I've had it when I've taken things like agnus castus and soy... I think it's hormonal. I think you can brown instead of red when you don't ovulate sometimes too. So not early menopause, no, don't worry... likely just hormonal (or PCOS if you've got that?) xx

This happened to me every so often so I saw a doctor when I was about 21. Doctors weren't concerned and they never found a cause. They said "hormones" and blood leaving the body slower than usual.... I've had it a few times since then as well. No idea what the real cause is but as long as it's not super regular I wouldn't be worried.

I don't have pcos and the hormones I got checked were normal levels. Yeah this hasn't happened before. Oh well, it's not like it matters as never getting pregnant anyway.

Sometimes this is my sign that AF is coming. Usually happens around 4 days before for me

Yup same for me usualy 2 days before ...so af was due..had brown dc for 7 days and no AF. The brown has been and gone... no period actually arrived. I should be on cd9 now but no idea what's happened

Yeah whatever it is , doesn't matter as no chance of getting oregnant now after 20 cycles of ttc and not even a sniff of a 2nd line

So if my progesterone was normal when O got checked could it have been a fluke? You reckon it's due to hormone imbalance that I only had brown blood ? Should I go to my docotr again even tho waiting on IVF?

I wouldn’t bother with the doctor until it becomes a regular thing. But also, if you’re waiting for IVF it may be worth to just tell them because If it is a hormonal imbalance I would expect that to be fixed via the IVF treatments at the time

What other hormones woukd it be? I am sure they will check them anyway before starting? I am now worried its the menopause . I did lots of research and the menopause can start with af being brown only. I cried must to sleep last night worrying it was that as I am 35 so it could happen

I’m thinking it could be progesterone but not entirely sure tbh. I know I have natural brown AFs sometimes and I am not early menopause. I would say stay off google. Everyone has dodgy cycles and this could just be one of yours
