Hi

As I'm really tired at night iv been trying to express as well as breast feed. Its not going so well though as not enough comes out and I'm producing a few oz per try.
What can I do to produce more or is it I'm doing it wrong.

Thanks in advanced

If you are breastfeeding, then it's always quite tough to produce a lot more by expressing on top of what you are already producing to bf your LO. How old is your LO? If more than a few weeks, your body will be used to producing a certain amount for each feed so to then express more on top requires additional supply

Keep pumping and gradually you should be able to produce more but it will take time and patience. You can also try taking fenugreek tablets, drinking lots of water and eating lots of oats eg porridge

Thank you for the information Londongirl. You were very helpful x. She's 5 weeks now. I'll keep trying a few times per day and see how it goes. Just so tiring having her feeding through the day then having to feed her all through the night aswel. I haven't had a good night sleep since she was born. I'd expected that but I didn't expect so little sleep haha.

Glad to be of help, I am pumping for my twins so I've become a bit of an expert! They are nearly 4 weeks and I feel like a total zombie after next to no sleep since they were born! Xx

Feel so sorry for you. Looking after one is more then enough for me so goodness knows what I would have done if I had two. I totally take my hat off to you.

Its all certainly worth it though to have my little girl with me here in my arms at last after so long. I love being a mummy

Try only feeding from one boob from about 3am! By the time you get up your other boob will have plenty supply to pump off x
