Sorry not very relevant to TTC....

One of my new years resolutions was to ensure I start eating breakfast. Apparently it's supposed to be the most important meal of the day. Normally I would rather have the extra 15 minutes in bed instead :nap:

I'm now into month 2 of breakfast and I'm already bored with cereal, I don't really like milk on food. Some days I can leave for work at 5am to drive to a customer so struggle to find a healthy breakfast on the way..........easy to find McDonalds, BP sandwiches etc........so end up just eating a banana or nothing again.

What do you have for breakfast? Got any good suggestions on what I could eat on the way?
 
I love cereal mostly porridge or bran flakes but if i dont have time to sit and eat in the morning i always make sure there are cereal bars in the cupboard that i can grab, then if i still feel hungry ill get a piece of wholemeal toast and have a banana with it when i get to work x x


 
Mmmmm bran flakes with sultanas or cranberries, any dried fruit really & if mornings are tight can mix up with yoghurt the night before so ready just to grab

Nature Valley do a gorgeous Oats & Honey bar, get 2 bars in a pack & 6 packs in a box & Tesco are currently doing 3 for 2 at the moment

Avocado and tomato on toast is yummy and quick and easy - I throw a piece of bacon or two on there at the weekends as a treat!

What about making a smoothie and drinking it on the way - always really filling. Yoghurt, whatever fruit you like, bit of honey and some milk and bob's your uncle.

Or toast a bagel, and spread with some cream cheese, (and bacon if you feel in the need!) add some chopped tomato and voila. Bagels are great for the car, because they don't make crumbs like toast!

Cheese on toast cut into fingers so you can eat it in the car.

I'm not a cereal lover either but I find these work for me. Just some ideas !
 
Thanks ladies there are some good ideas here. I'm obviously not very imaginative haha!!

I am loving the smoothie idea, why the hell didn't I think of that?? ooooh I'm off to find smoothie recipes now and they buy lots of fruit :lol::lol::lol::lol:
 
I have the innocent smoothies, cereal or toast! pretty boring really.

Yogurt. Dairy is the most healthy thing you can have at breakfast (probably why you are supposed to put milk on cereal etc) it kick starts your metabolism.

I like the strawberry muller light yogurt, or sometimes a lemon yogurt. Or you could try the yogurt drinks, very easy to keep in the fridge and then grab one to have in the car.
 
I'm having my brekfast as I type... made a spicy fruit loaf last night and am having it toasted with some sliced banana and honey... really yummy !!
 
Im not very good with brekkie either i normally just have cereal or porridge. You have given me some good ideas thou cheers girls xxx
 
I've tried convincing the OH that if he really loved me he would get up before me and bring my breakfast to bed :shakehead:
 
Oooohhh wouldnt that be nice although OH does make me breakfast most weekends, bless him x
 
I like a crunchie and a can of coke for breakfast, my body is a temple :)
