Just picked up bradley from nursery after a call to come and get him,

last night he didnt sleep well at all, was only sleeping for 20 mins at a time and was awake most the night..

This morning he semt a little better, but gave him calpol anyway and sent him off to nursery whilst i had hospital appointment, he was there an hour before me going to get him.. i feel bad now for sending him but normally he settles down to play when hes around his friends, when i got there, i was shocked, he was stripped naked, had flannels all over him to cool him down and it brought a lump to my throat seeing him like that..

anyway i notice on the way home in the car he was choking as he tried to cough.. not choking as such but it was like he didnt wanna cough...

Just looked in his mouth his tongue is quite swollen and red, do u think i should be worried.. he wont close his mouth eithyer, just going to give the docter a ring as he has an appointment for 4.30 but not sure if he should be seen now rather than later..

what would u do..

I would get an appointment now if not A & E to be sure bless him.

Does he still have a temp?

dont matter girls, just called docter and my docter is closed.. told the emergency docter and explained whats wrong and he said to get there asap..

will let u know

It sounds like he's had an allergic reaction to something? Hope he's ok

don't think you really need to ask the majority hun.

Get him to the docs ASAP!

I know that's the first place I'd go if anything like that happened to mine x x x good luck x

Hope everything's ok, let us know how you get on  xxx

well my little lad is in intensive care, have popped home to get his fav things for him..

i took him to the docs, i rasng emergency doc and got him see right away! who gave him some antibiotics and sent us home, within a few hours his tongue and throat sweeled so much he was gasping, this was at 3.00pm.. so i called an ambulance and they got him there where he was seen in resus straight away, was seen by loads of docs and then the peads came down to see him, they said they would have to take over his breathing if the sweeling got any worse.. so far its remained the same, but hes in intensive care beacause of the swelling and his working quite hard to keep calm, he has 2 canula's in, they have started him on iv antibotics and a drip cos he cant eat or drink..

Hi temp is still high but due to infection they think..

They have stressed hes in there more for precaution just incase he does go down hill, but so far so good, hopefully once the meds get to work he'll be ok.. but i wont be around for a few days now as hes more important to me at the moment..

thanks for the advice anyways

Awww poor little bradley.... you look after yourself too!

You girls think it all sounds bad, she sent me a piccy earlier and the poor littel boy looked so ill and covered in wires and monitering equipment, it was shocking. And she sounded awful on the phone.

Hope he's OK hun

Can I just add, that if anyone else finds themselves in a similar situation - call an ambulance.

This forum may be great, but it is no substitute for medical care/advice.

I'm not specifically aiming this at SSS but if anyone is seriously worried about their child, then please dial 999 immediately!
