And just thought to myself okay im bound to be doin this wrong!! You dont just bounce do ya? :eh: I look like a crazy woman bouncin about on this when Im watchin tv, on the computer etc. But Im not sure what else to do or what things on it are supposed to help with gettin baby positioned properly (i dont know what way he is in there as where im from they dont tell us if theyr engaged and all that fancy stuff :P Just been told hes "very low down" at my last appointment).

Do you girls know what is supposed to do what? Or if its just as simple as bouncin :/ Plus, im a spoon and feel a bit stupid askin but sure lol, how hard do ya bounce? Just gently or enough to almost lift you off it a bit :wall2:

xxx:wave:

I'm wondering the same thing hun, i was just bouncing like a maniac but not sure how ur supposed to do it. 1hr 15min n I was bored! Ha xx

LOL! Same hun, i look like sucha plonker - theres no way this is all you do, its too silly!! I feel like a whale just boppin up and down. And dont seem to be gettin any niggles or feelin out of it and been bouncin for weeks lol. If it does something shouldnt it give us a bit of a sign that its doing somethin? Pffft :( xxx

Looking forward to the replies as I'm the same!! I posted a thread about this a couple of weeks ago and replies said just bounce or sway to ease back pain! X

Maybe nobody knows what to do K80; thanks for lettin me know what your replies said lol - must have missed your post or I wouldnt have did another one; woops! Iv been bouncin all day and all iv got is a stitch lol xxx

heehee this made me giggle.

I'm not really sure, I thought it was mainly used to help with pain during labour, as I use mine to ease my back pain, I sometimes bounce and sometimes rock.

xx

haha with mine I rocked side to side iykwim midwife told me that if you imagine putting a pillow in a pillowcase if you get each corner and jiggle it in from side to side it comes down into the case quicker and easier, the same goes for a baby into pelvic area encouraging baby to come down. Does that make sense lol? she demo'd it to us and it made sense. hope that helps :) good luck! ps when i was induced i was told to walk up and down the stairs on a side like a crab in the hospital felt like a right pleb hahah

You can rotate your hips while sitting on the ball. Also you can roll back and forth on the ball , I do this sometimes while bouncing legs slightly apart on each side at 90degree angle. Also to message your back you can place the ball behind you back standing against the wall carefully moving up and down. Some women use this while in labour to relief their back, or so I've read.

Thank yous :) Will have to give these a shot!! Including the walking up and down stairs sidewards thing :P think Il do it in the comfort of my own house only though :) xxx

i brought a ball yesterday, and i got shouted at and told tog et off it in the end as i fell backwards twice.lol (lucky sofa was behind me)
ive lost all balance, but gonna give it another go tonight.
ive got spd but i found sitting on the ball lastnight didnt hurt where as sitting on sofa or lying on the sofa dose...

I've been bouncing this morning too! I was told by midwife to do the side-to-side thing that bidsy mentioned, plus just some light bouncing up and down. I've only done about 20mins as I find sometimes it makes my hips a little sore...
