Boots own digital pregancy test? confused about result?

Hiya,
Its been 40 days since the 1st day of my last period and i stil hav'nt come on. my partner and i have been trying to concieve for the past few months and this time ive missed my period.

i bought BOOTS OWN DIGITAL PREG TEST (2 pack) basicaly you have to pee on the stik and put it into the digital slot and w8 4 the result. the digital result on 1st test se dneg.. but wheni took the test out there was a faint positive line.

i took the 2nd test 2 days later..but this time the digital test dint work at all...and the stik had a faint positive line again.

has this happend to anyone here befor?
i dont get paid till friday so i wont be bale to buy another test till then but what shall i make of the results?

I dont know about this test but when I took my first it was very very faint because I took it so early. I used sainsburys own brand pee on a stick and wait the old fashioned way...this digital thing means nothing to me! You can pick up cheap tests from supermarkets and pharmacys for less than a fiver for two, if you can spare some cash give these a go they are in my opinion just as good as more expensive versions. You can get false negatives especially in the early days, if your really strapped for cash go to the dr or family planning clinic, they should give you a free test and if its good news start your maternity care there and then! If you don't want to wait why not go to the GP and ask if they can test for you. They use the same tests as we buy over the counter so may not but worth a shot.

Sounds like the 2nd one was faulty hun.
If they are anything like clearblue digitals then the test strip inside always has a positive line but unless the digital words 'pregnant' come up then your not.
I got caught out the other month with a clearblue one. It said 'not pregnant' but I took it apart and there was a positive line. I convinced myself I was pregant, but I wasn't.

I used one of those boots ones yestuday ( both test flashed with the error sign then gave a negative) and the instructions say not to take on notice of the lines on the stick just on the dispaly.
Also (I've just read the instructions again to check) you put the stick in the reader before you pee on it, not sure if i was miss reading your post put I took it toomean you where saying you put in in after.
