I know I'm not totally alone but is anyone else having body image issues?!

Since being pregnant I've eaten much healthier things and lost a reasonable amount of weight (not sure how much in lbs because we don't have scales but when sat in the car my belly is 2 hand widths further away from my steering wheel) So it's a pretty big difference, but yet I feel huge! :(

aww hun i think pregnancy does funny things to our minds,
i no some mega skinny girls who where happy with there body till they got pregnant and thought they looked huge right away!!
you aint alone hun in a few months when we have all got huge bumps instead of just looking "abit fat" you will feel much better

xx

I'm looking forward to having a defined bump. At the moment I just look like I've eaten far too much over Xmas. My belly (which has always been reasonably flat) now looks flabby and saggy which I hate!

I have to admit I haven't been eating any healthier since I found out I was pregnant - mainly because to start with I could only eat crisps without being ill and now I crave burgers plus I need to eat little and often to deter sickness so I eat handy things like biscuits etc....plus my dog walking has gone from an hour a day to about 20mins which is awful but I get so tired!

I was "fat" anyways, now i just feel fat and gross.
And the boy makes me feel worse by saying "you're not fat you're pregnant" and i'm like yeah but i was fat before, and theres no bump yet so that answer doesn't help lol.
I'm hoping when i get a bump that it pulls all the fat from elsewhere so i actually look pregnant and not like a penguin (thats how i'm currently seeing myself lol)
xx

Yeah I think that's my problem I keep being told I'm not fat I'm pregnant, and I think I'm just going to look blobby rather than pregnant, and I want a lovely baby bump that makes me look pregnant no lardy.

I recon it'll be there soon. You did a 10 week picture didn't you (hazy memory lol) and you could see it starting, give it time and you'll so look like a glowing pregnant woman! :cheer:

I have always been a comfortable size 12. Now I cant even do my trousers up. I am having to wear skirts to work everyday!! and its freezing... :( Does anyone feel ridiculously bloated? I keep thinking I am further gone then I thought just because I look huge!!!

:rotfl: I doubt it. I dunno, I've lost weight but my mind is just being ******ed.

hello, well i reached my target weight in mid December which meant that finally after five years i was quite pleased with myself, then the following week found out i was pregnant and KABOOM within days my stomach started to expand!!! I am about nine weeks ish now but look more like four months pregnant, even my friend commented on it today, but this is no 3 so i guess its all just turned to mush super quick this time! (in fact i think most of my bloat is due to the constipation, i haven't been to the loo in four days now so its probably waste rather than baby!) yum!

just bobbed in from tri 2 because i am missing you all like crazy

i am the same, always had issues with my weight and looks and everything, and now i feel huge, i am eating more than i ever have in all my life, but not over eating, just eating as much as i really should have been for many years, i have a fear of gaining weight, and that is what i am doing, i do have quite a bump already, but i just feel frumpy and not very attractive at the minute and i am looking at fitness dvd's i can do while pregnant and looking at ways to get back to my size after baby is born, but i want to stick to eating good too. don't worry though we will all have lovely bumps

Right that's it Lou you're responsible for making my bump nice

Completely understand how you are all feeling I have never been happy with my body and have always thought I was fat but my last pregnancy made me feel even worse I have a phobia of gaining weight and of being weighed. My last pregnancy I gained loads and had really bad water retention so just felt like a huge balloon alo got lots of steretchmarks which made me feel worse. I did lose all my weight afterwards tho and the stretchmarks did fade. This time I'm not feeling bad at all really I think I'm too busy being a mummy to be bothered about what I look like. Everyone you will all soon have lovely round bumps  xxxx

I'm dealing with it much better than I thought I would.

I'm usually quite skinny (always have been, it's genetic) and have definitely gained some weight - but not bothered as it's all in a good cause :cheer:

Think the problem when you usually have a very flat tummy is you show much quicker (or that is my theory) - I'm only eight and a half weeks and already starting to show I think!!!!

I've been a 10/12 for a while but my extra comfy size 12 jeans are no longer comfy! I've put weight on round my face and arms, people are starting to notice :( I haven't been eating that healthy but can't keep much down so must be all water. Never mind eh?! Slimming world in 7 months :)
