blood test

hey guys,

I just got through some dates for a blood test on the 22nd June. I will be 12 weeks by then. I was just wondering if this the triple screening test? I thought you had these tests much later at like 16 weeks. Could anyone shed any light on this for me?

From what i remeber you are right. I'm sure my triple bloods were done around 16/17 weeks??

Maybe it is just some routine bloods for iron etc? Although my midwife usually does those for me.

I thought so too Lau.

I called the hospital and she said they would give me the results and risks when I went for the ultrasound 5 days later. Hmm I'm just bloody confused, things on the net seem to say between 16 - 18 weeks too.

I thought I was going to miss these tests as I'm going to be away, so now I'm starting to worry about them, when I wasn't bothered before

they will be your normal blood tests for things like HIV, Syphilis, Hep B, Blood group and rhesus factor

They are carried out shortly after booking in

Triple test is carried out only between 15-17 weeks
