Just wondering if this is on the high side or if it's okay? I'm now 28 weeks 4 days and my blood pressure has been creeping up at every appointment I've had with the midwife and consultant they're keeping an eye on me for pre-eclampsia due to having it twice in my last 2 pregnancies. Consultant and doc at the hospital said its getting higher but at the moment they're not too concerned but it's still a little high.
I've noticed swelling in my hands and feet over the last 2 days and been waking up through all last night with headache and it's still there now. I've phoned midwife and she said to keep an eye on it and if it gets worse then to phone back

I'd always get things checked out if symptoms increase
This week my blood pressure was 145/80 and that's really up for me it's normally 100/60 but they didn't seem concerned I've had a lot of pain in my fingers too especially in the morning could just be our bodies working harder
Definitely mention though if your not comfortable
Hope everything's ok x

my midwife told me as soon as you notice any swelling go get checked out.

hope your okay! xx

I've still got headache but it's pretty dull so not too bad swelling is still the same. I've got midwife appointment at the docs Wednesday to check blood pressure etc
If headache gets worse then will phone midwife or assessment unit to see what they say x

My midwife worries if mine goes over 145/90 as thats qhen i start to get pre eclampsia ive had it in both my previous pregnancies aswell. It went up to 150/120 when i was admitted to.hospital but its been ok so far in this one. Ive been put on aspirin today to try and prevent it going up has your midwife mentioned this to you?

i've been on aspirin in my previous 2 pregnancies and all honesty it didnt help at all i've had it this pregnancy and it hasn't helped either. i had my routine midwife appointment this afternoon blood pressure was first time they checked was 136/96 and then checked just before they referred me to the hospital to be checked was 139/98 said its high and that i need to be checked over, as i've had headaches and swelling, dr checked me in the assessment unit and said swelling is there and i need to be checked again by my community midwife in 2 weeks time...

Yeah its gone up quite high then hope everything goes ok. How far are you?

sorry for late reply, been busy with the kiddies :)

I'm 29 weeks today due the 11th May, consultant and docs at the hospital have said if my blood pressure goes up again, then they will more than likely book me in for 36 weeks to be induced again like they did with Mia. I've got monthly growth scans as well due to how small Mia was and how small Ollie was as well, they're saying that its also to check on function of the placenta as well as it started to not work as efficiently as it should when i was having Mia as she had stopped growing.
I've gotta take my youngest son to the docs tomorrow morning so will book in to see midwife for 2 weeks time to check blood pressure.

if they do induce me at 36 weeks i really need to get my skates on and get things sorted and get my hospital bag packed as haven't done that yet

Im due 15th may and ended up in hospital with both of mine at 36 weeks. Im having growth scans every 4 weeks aswell due to small weight babies. Hope it all goes ok

That bp would be totally normal for me in pregnancy but mine tends to get quite high by the end of pregnancy. I have never had PE though just high bp. I had minor swelling but nothing major and never bad headaches. If you have a history of PE obviously there is extra reason to be careful.
