Bleeding

Hi

I'm not sure what is normal amount of bleeding.

I'm on day 6 and bleeding has been fine and I felt lessening although stil red.

But last couple of days I've overdone it by going out. I felt fine but after walking for an hour albeit shuffling my stitches felt really sore. Same yesterday and the stitches agony.

After being in bed overnight stitches pain not as bad, still very stingy and that's with strong co codamol. But I also feel there is a bit more bleeding. Not soaking a pad but just feels slightly more and still red.

I'm trying not to worry. Is this normal?

Midwife is out tomorrow but just wondered if any you lovely ladies could advise?

Completely normal- activity will increase your bleeding. Mine varied day by day as well- some days it seemed'm like it was stopping, other days, it was like the beginning again. Speak to your mw to put your mind at rest, but it sounds normal to me.

I'm being impatient no doubt. I'm also bf and I heard that can ake you bleed more. Fx and will just run it past mw tomorrow.

Sounds normal to me too. I'm on day 12 & I'm still bleeding, it's less than at the beginning but still bright red. MW says its perfectly normally. Had a very busy saturday & bled heavily so nicnax is spot on.

That is true about bfing as well- I noticed that it always increased whilst I wad feeding. I only bled for 3 weeks, so you may be lucky, and not go on for too long.

Its 3 weeks monday since i had my daughter. obs at first bleeding was heavy and dark red.. then over a couple of days went waterylike and pinky then started heavy again on off. didnt bleed yestersay but started again today nd i think its generally down to me doing everything for me baby and my 2yo and im over working myself as oh is a twat. hopefuply it stops soon. I didnt have stitches this time but i did with my son and they was quite sore as they was healing n bleeding was heavy x

Thanks girls. I've rested more pat few days and bleeding slowd down. I still wouldn't say it's pink. Though not bright red.

But now I have a bloody infection in my wound!
