Hi All,

So I have hit 9 weeks today.

Last November I miscarried around 8 weeks and it was the worst experience of my life I spent a night n A&E and the pain was horrible :( the thought of going through it again petrifies me.

Yesterday I had very light bleeding and a little heavier today :( I have my 1st appointment with the midwife on Friday at 09:30 but I am ringing my doctors at 8am tomorrow to try and see someone tomorrow and maybe get referred for a scan. Does anyone think this is a possibility?

I just want to go for a scan as I read a lot online that bleeding is normal and maybe just because I have had a previous miscarriage i am worrying over nothing but I'm so scared :(

Check online and see if your local EPU does self referral. Some of them do so if you call up with bleeding they should see you as soon as they can. Sorry to hear you are going through this x

How are you doing? Did you get a scan? I had spotting in two of my 3 full term pregnancies as well as my two losses so its not always the worst. MC sucks but if it does come to that no two MCs are the same and you may find you dont suffer as much pain. Maybe a d&c would be a good option for you?

I hope you've managed to get a scan lovely and things are okay. I've had bleeding in 2pregnancies, one was absolutely fine and is now my 4 year old son, the other sadly did end in MC so it can go either way, it doesn't always mean bad news. It's very scary I know. Keep trying your GP an demand to be referred urgently, you should get a scan the same day or next day really if bleeding Hun xxx

Thanks everyone, I am seeing my midwife in the morning at 9:30 and a scan booked for 12:00.... bleeding a little today still with small clots but no real pain so just don't know what to think.

One question I have is if it is good news at the scan will they provide me with a scan picture to take away or would u only get this at twelve weeks.

Usually you have to ask for a scan in advance and you pay them for it. I bought one at 8 weeks and you could work out baby's shape so I think you'd want one x

Ah I see, just thought if it was good news and we can see something would be nice to take away a scan, never mind. Just hope everything is ok still

I had a scan with the EPU at 9+1 and they gave me a photo! But they were exceptionally nice at that hospital.
You can always ask - I know some don't let you as they don't want you to have one if you're at risk of miscarrying I guess.

Goodluck for tomorrow, keeping all fingers crossed xx

Not good news. Exact same as last time got to come back in 10 days. Looks like it's only 5 weeks :-( x

Sorry to hear that. Are you sure of your dates?

Yea. I was thinking about that but I can't be a whole month out :-( they won't investigate until 3 miscarriages so just have to hope 3rd time lucky and if not then they will investigate :-( gutted . Plus bleeding heavier today and bad aches :-(

So sorry to read this :( I had two miscarriages at 5 weeks also and I ended up having counselling as I just couldn't get past this 'you must have 3 before we'll investigate' thing. I know there isn't much I can say when you'll be hurting so much but for me the third time was a healthy baby and although you never forget them the hurt from the miscarriages does fade. Big hugs xx

I'm so so sorry lovely :( sending you hugs xxx

Just wanted to let everyone I have gone through the miscarriage and have a scan booked for next Tuesday 07/03 to confirm everything has gone :( im distraught :( onwards and upwards i guess. I have spoken to so many people who have gone through the same and still conceived so trying to stay positive.

So sorry to hear that :( x lots of hugs, its true I see so many ladies up here who conceived after miscarriage so you can definitely try when you feel ready xx
