Hello ladies
I'm a tad confused by the report I received this morning. Its from the hysteroscopy I had a few weeks ago. It says I have a 'broad polyp' at junction of cervix and in lower uterine segment. When the fertility specialist saw it last week she said it was in the cavity and acting like an IUD (is that the right thing?) stopping me getting pregnant, which makes sense since we cant conceive.
It also says my ovaries look normal. Last week I was shown on a scan my enlarged ovaries covered in cysts from the PCOS.
It also says (this is the worst bit) 'I have not obtained any biposies as she does not have any menstrual problems'. The whole reason I went for the dammned thing was because I had menstrual problems! - long cycle, mid cycle bleeding etc etc etc which I explained to this actual doctor before the procedure. The infertility thing was second to all that.
Makes you feel really safe with the NHS doesn't it?!!!
I'm so mad I now have to wait sooooooooooooooo long to have the same procedure done again to remove the polyp when she should have just done it at the time. Its such a painful procedure aswell! Also, I've read (a lot) about this, and they are supposed to test polyp tissue for cancerous cells. Again, well done NHS since its taken them a year to get this far since they first saw it. I really want to complain to someone or get some answers but dont know where to start.
Rant over. I'm calm now. Love to all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
