As above, with my daughter I had a bit of a blood loss following her birth due to a post partum haemorrhage and was wondering if anyone else had the same and went on to have another birth? What was the outcome? I'm due to see a consultant next week because of this and a few other issues I had with her pregnancy but can't stop worrying about it (didn't have the nicest most straightforward birth) xx

Ive had 2 PPH 's after baby number 3 and 4 ... number 3 being worse than number 4 . This time round thery are going to keep a close eye on my during labour and birth , so they can be there quick, if it was to happen again .

Watching :)

I had 8 haemorrhages over 5-6 week period last time :( Getting more and more nervous as time passes til the next birth. Still got over 12 weeks to go but its scary nevertheless!

Thanks for the replies ladies! Guess I'll just have to wait and see what they say next week! I had a few other issues with the birth so there was a registrar there delivering my daughter and couldn't fault anything that way but it's just always a worry! Xx

It really depends on why you haemorrhaged last time. Sometimes its due to interventions such as induction or episiotomy or drugs you were given during the labour in which case if you don't have the same this time you are not at risk of the same happening again. A long hard labour can make you bleed more because the utterus is tired and finds it hard to contract after. Unless they know a specific reason for it which is likely to happen again it's most likely you will be fine this time.
