God it feels like an ongoing feeding battle in this house

What in you opinion (formula feeders) are the best bottles/teats to use?
We are using Tommee Tippee ones at mo, Isla seems to find them too big teat wise, and also guzzles a lot of air.
Any suggestions?

Why oh why wasnt Bfing successful? :(

I had no luck with the Tommee Tippee bottles, I think Chloe found the teats a little too soft. I now use Avent and find them fantastic. I think with bottles it seems to be try them and see as I know people who swear by TT. Hope you find one that works for you soon.

Does anyone use Dr Browns? I hear good things but arent they pricey?

We used TT and found them to be fine, however she always dribbled loads with them. We have just had to replace ours and just bought cheap Tesco ones and they are much better. But they have no Anti Colic thing so may not want them for a newbie. I would try a few and see what you get on with. We tried Dr Brown's, but they were too fiddly for this lazy mummy!

We used the TT ones to start off with but they're quite fast flowing. For the feeds that she guzzled in the evening we ended up buying a couple of Dr Brown bottles and they were absolutely fantastic. They weren't great as she got older as she was a lazy feeder but helped her colic immensely and really reduced the amount of wind she got.

im not FF but LO does get expressed bottles and i found the Dr B ones the best, the flow was too fast on the TT ones and half of the milk was ending up round him and with the Dr B ones there doesnt seem to be any spillage.

i have boots's own brand bottles and teats
we have used dr browns and avent in the past
but found boots's 100% better than any others

I BF for 4.5 months but from when Sam was 2 weeks old introduced a bottle of expressed milk at his last feed on the day. we used tommee tippee bottles to, the ones with the weird valve tube in them, anti colic plus I think. We chose TT as we heard they were good to rty and avoid nipple confusion.

xx

We started with Avent bottles but LO wasn't keen on them.

I got Tesco cheapie bottles (3pk for abt 1.75) and bought variflow teats from Asda. Pound shop/cheapie bottles do us just as good. Tbh the teats are what we've been struggling with until we got the variflow ones, they're fab!

We use TT and Lola's fine with them! Though it annoys me if the valve sticks! lol

i think ive used every bottle on the market! When he was a newborn and had colic we used dr brown bottles and they were great at not letting the air and bubbles out although it did absolutely nothing to stop his colic. When Colic passed at 4months we swapped to avent bottles and i found these were ok but the teats always use to get blocked (we use cow and gate comfort and the milk is very thick. now hes older he uses boots own bottles but i find them really slow so ive just made extra holes myself and touch wood they're working fine and suit him the best so far. I cant wait to get him off bottle though! such alot of fuss!

I hated the avent bottles, infact i nearly threw one across the room when feeding Hayden as the flow was rubbish, we get on really well with tt ctn bottles on 2 teats, these are fab!!

Also when you say she guzzles alot of air have you tried lying her flat when feeding? just an idea as this seems to help us...

Im sorry to hear bf wasn;t successful for you

Oh if you want to try the Dr Brown ones let me know, I have 2 extra that I bought on ebay that were used but I never got round to using. They're in pretty good condition but will need new teats.

I also have 2 dr brown's bottles that I think we used twice if anyone wants them.
