Hello ladies, and congratulations to all who've recently got your BFP's, and good luck to those still getting there!
I joined the forum two or three months of months ago, with the intention of leaving it all to nature. Since then, I've read the books, read your posts (although I don't have as much time for that as I'd like) and have been charting for 2 moths!
Now there is something I'd like your honest opinion on, if you'd be so kind. (Sorry if the whole story is a bit long! )
The thing is, I have been on the pill for many years. Before then my cycles were very long and extremely irregular. But that's over 10 years ago! Because of that, I have always suspected it would take me a long time to get pregnant.
My first chart last month showed a 27 day cycle (much shorter than expected) and I thought this was because I was still under the effects of the pill (which I stopped on New Year's Day, btw). Ovulation seemed present but luteal phase was a bit short (8 days).
My second chart is on day 40 right now. Ovulation again, seems to have happened, around day 19 this time.
Here's the question - Is it too early to test?
I don't want to put my hopes up. I half expected my cycles to be 'settling down' by now, i.e. going back to being really long and irregular.
Is it possible at all that, instead, my cycles have simply become more regular/shorter after all this time??
Am I beeing overcautious?? Or am I putting my hopes up??
Any opinions one way or the other will be greatly appreciated!
