I am here all alone too as I am from the other side of the world and have no family and know what you mean about having to make friends - it is so tiring esp. when you don't feel great. I do have my husband here though so I feel very bad for you.

Is he going to come back to visit during his time in Oman?

Don't forget to get the webcams so you can talk to each other from Oman. My husband and I were apart for ten months and we emailed a photo to each other everyday.

I so feel for u but think about it. the timing is perfect as he's going to be back for ur birth and when the baby is here.. so something better than the other.
hun try keep and touch with him i heared skype is very cheap and fun to contact ppl with so maybe it's worth a try. I know its different when he's actually with u! but at least u'll get to talk to him, see him. it will make u feel better.
wish i can do something for u. (btw my DH is leaving in 2 days but only for 2 weeks and i already feel terrible)
