I've done something a bit silly and can't believe I've done it so hoping for some reassurance and nice words

I had my DD 3 weeks ago and OH and I had sex Saturday night (after an episiotomy as well , stitches healed and no pain yay) however after telling him to pull out he didn't Obv I know pull out isn't a good enough method of contraception but it was in the moment and I've been up for it for a while (God knows what's wrong with me) and now I'm crapping myself as I know you're more fertile than ever after birth !!! If it happens i don't mind so much it's just a scary thought for now ... And I'm so mad at myself for being so daft ! Do you think its more likely than not that I'll be pregnant again? :/

I think it's way too early to tell yet. Obviously you can't keep an eye on AF arriving or not as that could have taken weeks anyway :/ I'd say just try not to worry about it right this second and focus on your newborn. It'll be a couple more weeks at least til you can find out anyway. And get your OH to wrap it if you don't want any happy accidents

I fell pregnant when my daughter was 5 months old. Same reason as why you're worried! Not pulling out.. >. < I'm 22w and she's now 10 months. It's already bloody hard work. (I have a 4yo too) Just a heads up enjoy your new one first lol xXx

Does emergency contraception last 72hrs? Could speak to the pharmacy regarding that, i dunno.

However you are SUPER fertile after birth so there is definitely a chance you could get pregnant again. You can test around 14 days time. If you aren't pregnant I would look at getting on some contraception asap. I would hate to be pregnant again so soon! 2 babies in a year? Eek, no thanks lol

Are you breast feeding? That often (not always I know) delays fertility for a while. Tbh I'd say it's unlikely you are 3 weeks pp so try not to stress. Obviously there is a chance but I think your too late for the morning after pill

I was told by the Dr's that the first 21 days you cannot get pregnant however after that you could ovulate at any time. X

When I was in hospital just after having my daughter, a lady opposite me on the ward just had baby number 3. Baby number 2 was 10 months old (as close as physically possible!) Not sure how close to 11m however but still...

Just done some research and emergency contraception can be taken up to 120hrs after unprotected sex so deffo give it a go hun. Obviously the earlier the better tho x

It's not just pregnancy, it's about the risk of infection too..

If you are really worried you can get ella1 up to the end of the day to day, it's a new morning after pill that you can take up to 5 days
