Bedtime milk

When my sister moved my nephew off bottles the week before Xmas, she told him that they were going to leave them under the tree for Father Christmas to take to give to little babies who dont have a bottle. This worked well and he was pleased with his Buzz Lightyear he got in return......then they went to a kids party and who was there....Father Christmas or as Seth said it Father Missmass......he took one look at him and started pointing as saying to my sister 'that man! Father Missmass! Take my bottle! Cow up and..and...and...babies....and...and....my Buzz!!

Oh bless! The poor boy. And poor Father Christmas!

She said it was so funny but it obviously registered with him!

aww lisa that is very cute!
maddi drinks out of her 360 cup for water, and has milk in her bottles, always morning and night, and sometimes one during the day too. i've tried milk in the 360 cup over xmas (just one in the afternoon) and she wasn't that interested. i will try again, but, like lisa, i let her lead the way with everything and will change eventually.
she's always had the same bed time routine, she lays down with daddy, on our bed, has her milk and he puts her too bed, sometimes awake, sometimes asleep, she's always slept through (since 6weeks) so i'm a happy mummy :D

How do these 360 cups work then?
Ooh they're great! O liver has one for his water during the day. It looks like a normal cup, but the top is sealed and has a valve all the way round the rim. It's just like a rubbery flap really (ooer misses!!! ;-) ) LO just sips at the edge and it comes out. I've tried it myself and they don't really need to suck at all, so can't be bad for their little toothypegs. I'd defo recommend it.

it's takes about 9oz

Thanks for this tip! My little boy has refused to drink from any kind of bottle/cup since he was 3months old. And although I will still continue to BF him it would be nice for my partner to be able to give him some formula occassionally (so I could go out fore one evening). So I bought this cup yesterday and he loved it . I can't belive it!! Thank you!!

Glad you found something that he'll drink from kiki :D

Oh that 360 cup looks ace

Oh no :( Maybe next time.

AJ was never able to use a Nuby cup.
I've just bought a cow cup to give a go for his afternoon milk, once my poorly baby is better.
Aww, how's he doing Lis? Give him some sloppy hugs from Oliver x

Big hugs back to Oliver from AJ. He's doing fab now thanks. Cant believe he was that ill last week. He's that much better he's had his 12 month needles today! (Better late than never :))

Well, we tried him with the Nuby cup yesterday. Not good is all I can say! I spat most of it out, threw it at my husbnd and dribbled the rest of it down his front. Needless to say, he ended up having a bottle in the end!!!

I'm really sorry but that actually made me laugh out loud

Sorry it didn't go well though... maybe sticking to the bottles for the next few weeks and introducing the nuby cup during the day when he can take more time over it would be easier?

Me too, I'm so juvenile

When I finally get into town we're going on a cup mission and going to hide the bottle to see how we go :oooo:
OMG, I've only just noticed what I said!!! It was actually Oliver doing the spitting, dribbling and throwing - not me!!!

 Soo funny!!

Well thanks to this thread we now have no more bottles! I bought a 360 cup in Sainsburys yesterday and Sam had his milk in it last night :yay:

I want to say thanks too.
We bought a cow cup and AJ has taken to it great!! x

I sent OH for a 360 cup but they didnt have any....I am getting me one of those!

Well, I'm glad you're al doing so great with your new cups! Oliver though, is still on his bottle for bedtime :wall2: We've tried it a few times and just not interested. He still loves his cow cup and 360 during the day though

He only had a look in Tesco when he was doing the shopping. I'll check Boots etc when were back out and about again ;)
