What does your 1+ year old have their bedtime milk from? Bottle or beaker? And what sort of beaker is it?

Rosie still has a bottle, she will not associate milk in anything else, similarly she wont have anything but water in her beaker.

Hebe had had hers in a cow cup since before her 1st birthday :)

Oh thank goodness, I thought I was being such a bad mother! He will drink anything out of anything to be honest! He even sips drinks out of my mug! He only ever had water during the day. To be honest, I haven't tried him off the bottle at bedtime yet. I didn't want to confuse him as I was weaning him off bf. We did our final bf last Sunday , so now I'm wondering about changing his bottle. Just don't know where to start!

Oliver has this cup!!! He's just swapped from this to the amadeus cup for during the day. Does she or did she ever go to sleep on it? Oliver always fell asleep on the boob and now falls asleep on his bottle. I know it's bad for his teeth (not that he has any to shout about yet!!!), but I think this is the reason I'm shying away form it. Why break something that isn't broken?!!!

Sorry Rosie has a sippy cup similar to the cow print one ^^

I cant remember why we decided to go with the cup over the bottle. She used to nurse to sleep but then she didnt fall asleep when I switched to a bottle. She cuddles and drinks the milk from the cup while watching something she likes on the telly, then when she's done I put her down awake.

I think part of the reason we changed was because my nephew was becoming so dependant on his bottle (he's 2 and a half) and waking twice a nice for one. we went away with them and I was  They finally bit the bullet the week before Christmas and he's slept through ever since....it took a few nights of kick offs but he doesnt wake at all at night now. My friend's 6 yr old has a bottle of milk for bed and he sleeps fine and they are going to let him grow out of it when he's ready - he may have now but I havent asked about it TBH.

Rosie has a bottle of milk at night, she always falls asleep after this but I dont feel as bad because I always brush her teeth before bed. She only drinks water in the day from her sippy cup beaker thing adn I try to limit her sugar intake, usually only in petit filous and natural fruit sugars. I might try to wean her off her bottle when she can talk so at least I can explain to her and know that she inderstands. Does that sound mental?

If you explain to her she will understand. Just because she cant articulate it doesnt mean she doesnt. I'm not saying anything about the bottle BTW! I think you should do it when you feel you are both ready but I just wanted to make the point that fi you explain something to her she will understand even if she doesnt respond positively IYKIWM :)

So, do you think I should stop stressing about it? I may try him with the cow cup tomorrow and see how he does. TBH, sometimes he's still awake when he's finished the bottle. I put hinm to bed and he goes to sleep. So maybe I really should just go for it. Oh decisions, decisions!

Does he have some milk when he wakes Cat? Hebe started having her morning milk in the cow cup then at some point we just gave her the bed time milk in it. I think she once wouldnt have it when she was really poorly but she went back to it the next day. Just try it and see :)

AJ has his bedtime (and all other milk) fom a bottle.
ATM the only sippy I can get him to take is a TT first cup. And he looks at me as if Im stupid if I put milk in it!

The first time I put milk in the cow cup (she only drinks water) she looked at me like 'WTF?!'

He doesn't bother with milk any other time of day anymore Lisa. I kept trying to give him morning milk (he used to have that out of his sippy cup), but he started leaving it. Not interested at all!

She's never been a big milk drinker since we started solids - even when I was still BFing her she didnt have afternoon milk or anything. She seems to really like her morning milk now and I'm not stopping it because I'm trying to make up for the lack of it she's had for the past 6 months!

Sam still has milk in a bottle at bedtime  He was breastfed so never had bottles before but it seems to relax him - I'm sure he wouldn't care if I started giving him a cup instead but I don't really see the harm in it at the moment... I felt guilty that I had to stop breastfeeding when I was pregnant so I guess I'm trying to make up for that a bit

Lil miss has a bottle but can drink from anything so I'm not worried :) She's even mastered a cup without any lid but when she's tired/ill she call's her 'bo-bo'

Ruby has a anyway up cup because i was fed up of her going to bed with a bottle and getting it all over her sheets lol
She is 18months now and doesnt have any bottles x

I wouldn't put Sam to bed with it though - he has his bath then bottle downstairs before bed... the rest of the day he drinks out of other things including cups with no tops so it's not that he wouldn't have anything else x
