I don't know what I need!! Obviously bottom sheets, but what should I put on top? How many blankets do I need and which ones? I'll get one of those soft popcorn blanket things (or do I need 2?) and a few cellular blankets (again, how many?) and then do I need any flat sheets too?

This is just for day time naps though. I have sleeping bags for bed time, but I guess if baby is too small I'd have to use my currently non-existent bedding collection!

What have you all got? Xx

I've bought a Moses basket set from Babies R Us and swaddled blankets xx

We brought a few fitted sheets and had 2 cellular blankets. Only put one blanket on him and he slept in a sleep suit and was usually warm enough or kicked the blanket off. You just need enough to have one in the wash and a clean one on. Sounds like you have enough. I think it also depends on whether you have a warm baby, Alfie gets so hot very easily so only has a light blanket on and has done since he was born.

I'm also confused about blankets and sleep suits and vests and the likes :s hoping I suss it come the time ?!?

If you have sleeping bags then all I'd say you need are some sheets and a couple of cellular blankets. Generally new borns are a bit small for the sleeping bags, but once they're big enough they can be used for naps as well as night time.

It's up to you if you want fitted or flat sheets. Personally I like fitted because they're less likely to come loose and cover baby's face etc. Cellular blankets are best for the same reason, they have the holes in case baby's face gets covered by them. I only use non cellular blankets on my little one in the pram etc. They've generally only needed one blanket on them at a time. Even moses basket sized ones are big enough to need foled r over. Every time you fold them it acts like another layer/blanket. So you dont need lots of blankets on your baby at once. You just want to make sure you have enough spare for the wash etc for when your baby projectile vomits all over the bed after every feed.
