hi I have had really bad cramps this morning, I couldn't even walk and its was like period ache but soooo painful so I went to the early pregnancy unit, the midwife said it's too early to do a scan as it's only 4 +1 weeks. She took bloods to check my levels, she said HCG has to be 2800 to see anything on the scan. But one thing that worried me is that she did a pregnancy test and it was soooo faint on there, she was like oh thats very light, but when I did FRER now its as dark as the control line so not sure whats happened there. I am also going on holiday for 2 weeks from Saturday, should I be worried during the whole time as obviously I won't be able to have a scan and its a matter of wait and see.,, sooo annoying.

Cramps are normal. Calm down, it's ok. I had SEVERE cramps early on. Way worse than any period cramp I've ever felt. My baby is fine, and so is yours. You need to remember that your body is used to having a period right now AND your uterus is rapidly stretching, so it can hurt. I asked my doc and she said AF type cramps are almost never the first sign of a miscarriage, it's always spotting, and then the cramps come. Cramps are only something to worry about if you have one-sided pain.
