back from growth scan

..and everything seems pretty ok really!

Bubs head was measuring smack bang on average, and stomach on the 90th percentile line, where it has been all along, so it seems the growth hasnt slowed down after all. Because I am still measuring on the small side they want me to have another growth scan in 4 weeks, but didnt think there was any real reason for concern. I asked for the baby's weight and she said it was really a rough figure and could be out by a pound either way (!) but she said 4lb 8. Well if she's putting on half a pound a week like theyre supposed to at this stage, surely that means i could still be having a 7lb 8 baby doesnt sound that small to me??!

So that took about half an hour....then i was in the hospital 2 1/2 more hours waiting to see the doctor to book me in, and then waiting o have bloods taken for their records. aghhhh!

i had a feeling everything would be fine, shes been moving about SO much i knew she couldnt be wasting away!

the doctor said the movement is the best indicator of everything being ok

as for the lack of bump, she did seem a bit bemused why it was measuring so small but she said, lets face it, you're just not going to get big.

I guess that makes me just lucky

That really is fantastic news - and yet more proof for you and Bloom and the rest of us that the size of our bumps doesn't have that much bearing on the size of our LOs!

It'll be really interesting to see what size they all are when they come out! I reckon 7lb 3 for you!

Im glad everything went ok. I dont think the weight thing should be that big of an issue, as the baby may not put a full half ound on each week!!??

lol, id be quite happy with a smaller than average 6lb-er who just slips out small but perfectly formed...thats my birth plan and im sticking to it !!

Its really reassuring for me to read this post as it just proves that the size of your bump is not relevant.
