Back from 40 week appt

Made me feel a lot better. Midwife did a sweep, said she could feel babies head and I am 1 cm dilated. She said she didn't think I would need to be induced, which is what I was worried about. Since sweep I've had brown stuff when I've wiped afte wee, but no mucusy stuff. I guess that is normal? Xx

I have read some girls saying that they get this after a sweep, maybe it's the start of more to come though x

Not sure as never had a sweep! hopefully things wont take long now! good that she could feel babys head! get bouncing! x

Mine said cramping and bleeding was normal an not to panic! I was also 1cm and she could feel the babies head too. I haven't stopped today trying to get things going. I had some more jelly like stuff this afternoon an crampy pains. I go back in the morning for another sweep, hopefully things have progressed a bit further xxxx

oh Heidi, that's nice that you can go back at 40+2 for another sweep. I don't get another one until next week....

so jealous of your sweeps. my appointment today was no different to normal. got to wait till next wednesday. so annoyed but she did say she doesnt think she will see me. xxx

I'm also 1cm and have been getting a bloody mucus stuff since she did it. she told me that i had some show when she had finished the sweep. ive just been sitting down all afternoon as im in a bit of pain down below. might just get up and do loads of stuff then instead..see what happens. hope you don't have to wait much longer for your baby

oh i have my sweep tom 1st time having one im dreading it hope it works tho as my hubby is going on a stag nite on sun for 2 days if baby hasnt arrived

Don't dread it, it wasnt unclmfortable at all for me. She did say my cervix was easy to find though. I don't feel any different since the sweep to be honest...

i see alot of woman having sweeps at 40 weeks i did not know they did them that early, when i had my sweep with my 2nd child i went in the same night and had him early morning but i was over my due date, i felt cramping then i went into hospital x

what things are you doing to get things going?

Sorry I've taken so long to reply! I've just been bouncing on my ball whenever I get chance, today tried to be as active as poss, went to watch a sports day, walked round town then went and walked round the golf course with oh! Tonight we've been swimming! Also been eating pineapple too.

I'm in alot if pain at my pubic area today too so I'm hoping that baby has got lower!

Yes I feel more pressure in my pubic area. It's kind o making me waddle! I hope it means baby has dropped as well maybe I'll go swimming tomorrow, enjoy it while i can! Thanks for your suggestions xxp
