Hi, my health visitor says my baby has colic- which explains why she cries allllll the time, started using infacol and will massage tum etc, anyone experienced this and can advise? When do things improve?? She's only 3 weeks

I might follow this post closely as pretty sure my little lady is suffering from this too. :(

Ds had colic, it was caused by too much lactose - first in my milk, he was getting too much foremilk, second from the formula which was Aptamil. Infacol did diddly squat, the only thing that worked for us was gripe water and switching to HiPP organic, the change in him was instant.

Nothing really helped with my LO, we just had to wind as much as possible and she liked being walked around facing forward and bouncing her a bit.
It's a tough time but it stops as quickly as it starts, I think it started fading out around 9ish weeks I can't really remember could of been later but it lasted about 7 weeks I think. ( iv obviously blocked it out my memory haha)
Just keep in your mind that it's not forever and it will pass eventually and if you are ever worried that's what doctors are there for no matter how small or big the problem. Xx

Alfie had real wind and we changed him onto Dr Browns colic relieve bottles and had a dramatic difference in a day!

My LO had colic very bad, used infacoland moved her to tommee tippee anti colic bottles and she was a different child. We get the odd bit of wind, but nothing as bad as the colic. Would not look back, and dare not change anything. I think they do grow out of it but that os around 3months.

I'm breastfeeding so not using bottles :(

You could try using Colief, that breaks down the lactose in milk so if that works you'll know it's a lactose thing! We used to give Felix fennel tea, just brewing it lightly leaving it to cool and giving him like 30ml and that used to calm his tummy, I believe camomile has the same effect and they're 100% natural so not at all dangerous xo

Karen my boy had colic too and we used colief. Express a little and give it in a cup/syringe mxed with the drops. It's expensive but it worked for us. Gripe water made it worse but try it out when she is 4 weeks as it works for many! Can't remember exactly when it went but was probably about 9/10 weeks.
Good luck. X
