baby weight at 31 weeks

i had a scan done today im 31+ 4days he said the baby weighed 4Ib 2. does any1 know if thats big? cus my dad keeps saying im gunna have a big baby now he said it weighs that n its making me panick

I wouldn't take a lot of notice of them estimating weights. They told me I was measuring large at a 32 week scan and that I was looking at having at least an 8 pounder. He was 7lb 5 at 2 days late. The consultant said the weight estimates can be out by a pound either way.

hey weighted junior in at 1,5 kilos, which is, I think, 3lbs/3.5lbs so yes, you seem to be having a big baby

However, the weight can not really be measured properly, it's like a guessing game to the docs and midwives! So, don't worry, as long as your baby is healthy and measuring right for his/her age, nada to worry about xx
