I'm 38+2 and have had no BH and baby's head is not engaged.

Do you think this means I'm more likely to go overdue as body\baby not ready?

Was hoping something might happen soon but not so sure! Anyone had any experience of this?

i dont know but what i have understood from reading on here some dont feel their BH and also i think baby can engage just before your going in to labour.. but i dont know really..

If this is not your first I've heard sometimes babies don't engage until labour!! I've never had BH's either during the whole 9 months with Lacey or this pregnancy!!

...And I had BH with all of mine and my 1st 2 went overdue by 2 weeks. with no.3 he wasn't engaged even as I went into labour.

Don't think it makes any difference hun x

my baby has only just started to engage, but Ive been told that it can just happen in labour. I wouldnt worry about the BHs either. I had loads of really strong ones for weeks, and Im overdue :wall:

Ok good! Least it doesn't sound like I'm guaranteed to go overdue then... Is so exciting that can happen any day, feel like a walking time bomb! Hopefully by my 40 week midwife appointment more might be happening :)

My baby started to engage ages ago and has been fully engaged for a week now but the stubborn little thing is still overdue so I wouldn't read too much into it!

I know what you mean about feeling like a timebomb, although the longer it goes on the less imminent it's feeling, kinda strange really, just coming to terms with being late I guess!!

My baby was 2/5 engaged and has just poped out again to 4/5 last week - the little sod! lol! Think he/she has gone back down though, lower than the first time so fingers crossed he/she is making a move! lol!

I've also heard that some don't engage until labour anyway so you'll be fine :-)

yeah i feel exactly the same. I was so mentally prepared 3 weeks ago. Now Im in total denial and im really not sure if Im in the right mindset to go into labour!

weird isn't it? I was oozing confidence a couple of weeks ago!
