Im looking for something 'special' to bring my LO home from hospital in, Ive bought a fluffy all in one/snow suit type thing from Gap (seen it and HAD to have it lol) and was thinking of getting a little outfit to go underneath for bringing the baby home in, I was originally thinking of humphreys corner outfits but a local shop has this

Its £26 which is a bit much for a sleepsuit but I have fallen in love with it. What do you think of it? It would save me buying something for a girl and something for a boy as Im team green

Im team green too and bought a snowsuit from next and an all in one sleepsuit from mothercare (the rest of my sleepsuits have all been given to me so wanted just the one special new one!)

If you love it hun.. go for it! You can then keep it as your babys first one.

Exactly as Nori has said. :D

And snap Nori - I also bought a snowsuit from next and a lovely sleepsuit from Mothercare to take baby home in. :)

Baby's first outfit is special so if you want it then go for it. :)

my only reservation with spending that much money for a 'bring baby home' outfit is that you need to know pretty much how much baby is gonna weigh or you could end up with something not big enough or swamping baby

 thats a cute little outfit .. BUT unisex clothing is everywhere. Asda do some adorable little snowsuits and woolworths ect, why dont you try there hun for a cheaper deal?

i washed all of my DDs clothes and hung them up ready for baby, they are all in prefect like new condition, but still bought a good ammount of new aswell and had baby shower prezzies also, so have plenty of new and special outfits too. we had a bunting bag bought for us and two snowsuits, and i had one from DD but i remember how tiny she was (6lb6, overdue) and it swamped her untill 4 months old! so OH bought a little pink fleecey microfibre one from babies r us in "tiny baby" size that was 5-8lbs as they are predicting a small baby again from last scan, averaging around 6lbs2 full term. thats the only tiny baby size i have bought though. its really nice that i have all DDs old newborn clothes as they were all tiny baby i bought after she was born as newborn was huge on her, they all fit her lovely for the first 5 weeks of life. i wouldnt want to waste money on a whole wardrobe and her be bigger so all the new stuff i bought this time around i got all newborn and 0-3 size so she has plenty of size options :) xx

I love the little outfit.......

Although as the others have said its hard to know what size they are going to be (Im planning on mine fitting into newborn clothes, and thats more from a pain perspective than anything else :D ).

I have bought 2 warm outer suits, one a newborn one, and the other from 0-3 months, will probably pack them both and see on the day which will fit him best! One is very thick and snug, and the other a thinner pram suit!!

I think I've bought the exact same snow suit from GAP and am also planning to bring baby home in a humphreys corner outfit. we're team pink so i've chosen a gorgeous parachute dress for little one.

You could try vertbaudet.co.uk for online baby clothes. They have some trendy stuff on there and always have sales. Also, if you check the forums shopping section there's a thread on there with lots of codes for the website which will give you money off your order and free gifts.

Hope this helps.

Think Im going to have to look elsewhere for an outfit, OH gave me  when I told him how much it was. Done a quick google for velour sleepsuits and it brought up adams website, I didnt know they done baby stuff, thought it was just childrens. There is a lovely little white velour top on there and they have a two pack of bottoms, 1 is white and 1 is grey. And the top and trousers are both in the sale.

I agree! I got all white with all my 3 and it is hard knowing which size for coming home in! It is a gorgeous item though but yeh if you have a 6lb baby then even the newborn might not fit as a lot of newborn clothes go up to 11lbs!
