Hiya

Just wondering what other people put their LO's in at bedtime.

I have been putting him in a vest, baby grow and swaddling, but have just read that you shouldn't put them in swaddling to sleep in. So now have put him in vest, BG and grobag..worrying he will now be too hot!

What do other people do?

As of 2 days ago, jared has a vest ,long sleeve babygro and the into a baby sleeping bag and a thin blanket (which is just chest height so hands and arms are free) > he does sleep on top of a lovely fleecey blanket as it makes his absket really comfy, and he sleeps much better because of it!
Just don't put a hat on him as that is where they lose their excess heat.

I thought swaddling was good for the first few months. Where did you read that it's bad? Should I be adding grobags to the list of things I need to buy before LO is born?

Oh that's a relief, I have been swaddling Tom at night and he sleeps really well. It's just I was reading on page 50 of the bounty book "You and Your Newborn", it says "Don't put a swaddled baby asleep in a cot or bed"... I thought that was what it was for anyway!

People have swaddled for centuries... you only have to be careful that your baby doesn't overheat or has their head covered...and those are standard rules regardless of swaddling... I wish serena swaddled.
