***August 2016 Mummies***

I collected my mate form last wk when I was 21 wks as this is my 3rd baby my next midwife appointment isn't till 28 wks so needed it before then so I rang up and she left it at surgery for me to collect x

I picked mine up today but she's put the wrong name on it :( my hubs needs a copy for work too but it's my details on the form.

How's everyone? I think my nausea is coming back, I feel sick on and off throughout the day again.

Oh no I am sorry that youre feeling sick again! That is not cool at all. I am just overcome with SAVAGE heartburn, it is excruciating! Always in the evenings .. I rarely get it in the day but god it is a killer some days. If I drink water it makes it worse which really annoys me because a lot of the time I am super thirsty!

I am also TMI - constipated a bit recently. Like I am usually regular, but the last week has been really not nice in that department. I drink a lot of water and eat lots of fruit etc, Are we allowed to drink fybogel? I might have to try do something more to help it along lol

Lexi- baking soda, apple cider vinegar, and water. It will eliminate heartburn better than ANYTHING. I had THE most painful heartburn last pregnancy and one episode this pregnancy that had me thisclose to going in to the ER. I drank that and it disappeared completely. 1-2 teaspoons baking soda, 1-2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar, mixed in like 4-6 ounces water.

Nicki so sorry about the nausea! How's your mood these days?

Thank you Kholl!!! xx

I got my date through for the growth scan, I don't have to wait long as it's on Thursday. But I've now realised that I'm going to have to buy a double buggy. I've been trying to get my son to walk more, but he can't walk to the local park 5 mins away without getting tired. It's fine if I'm going out with someone, as I have a pram and stroller, but I don't want to be stuck indoors all the time.

I got the same problem flinty, my daughter wont walk far at all. I was hoping to get her use to walking more so when baby is here I can use her pram but it doesn't seem to be working. I was hoping to use a sling for the baby but now I'm wondering if that's gonna be just as hard when out shopping etc. Although I drive I mainly walk everywhere, especially to do the food shopping, and cant imagine trying to do it with a stroller and sling. Really didn't wanna have to buy a double tho as its money we don't really have spare.

Anyone else's babies still having quiet days? Only really felt baby yesterday evening and had a few soft movements today. I think its normally about 28 weeks midwives say to worry about reduced movements as they still don't have much of a pattern before but not sure if I should be worried x

My babies have always been super active - ultrasound techs have commented every time- but I do know it's common for many people to go long periods still without feeling movement.

I have a double stroller for running but until my belly started getting too big, I preferred pushing my first in the stroller and wearing my second in a carrier. It's really so easy, even while shopping etc. I have a sling and a month wrap for the first few months then an ergo and a Tula for when baby is bigger with better head control.

I have noticed a pattern in baby, its pretty much first thing in morning he's awake, a bit during the day, then last thing at night so yeah I find lots of quiet patches too Roxy.

I can feel so much more movement now, it is lovely really it is way more defined movements! xxx

I've been having roughly the same movements, lots in the mornings and evenings and the odd bits in the day but yesterday and this morning I didn't feel anything, had movement yesterday evening and a bit today but not loads. I have been busy today tho so maybe I haven't felt it all today. Think I'm a bit paranoid as I had a lot reduced movements with my daughter and was induced in the end because of it. I had an anterior placenta with my daughter tho so put it down to that. X

I have decided to go with a buggy board, going to look at them tomorrow. My oh got a £50 voucher for John Lewis as his Xmas bonus, so decided to use it, since we haven't found anything else to spend it on.
My midwife told me to get used to a pattern, and if the pattern is off, to lay down for 2 hours and count the movements, and then to ring ADAU, as that what they ask you to do before going in. My first thought was 'I have a 3 year old, he doesn't let me sit down for 5 mins, let alone 2 hours' She is really active whenever I'm not! So breakfast, lunch, dinner and when I'm reading a bedtime story. I feel her most in the evenings when I'm sitting down. The other night she woke me up at 2am having a party!

I had the glucose test with first pregnancy, but don't need it this time as all was well with no1, yay! :-) my sickness is coming back too... I struggle at work to get through the morning and in the afternoon I feel fine. Heartburn also starts, luckily not too bad yet. I remember how awful that can be, poor Lexi! Tomorrow I'll be 22+4 and I can travel 1st class with the train which will be lovely as I take the train daily to work and it's always overcrowded (we get a form to fill in by the MW and then at 5 months you can sit in 1st class with a 2nd class ticket). We'll try with DS in the buggy and baby in a sling first and if that doesn't work we'll get a buggy board too. I don't think you should be worried, Roxy, it's still early to feel a pattern and maybe you were just too busy. I feel lots more on a quiet day than a busy day :-) but if you're worried: drink some sparkling water or lemonade and 30mins later you'll probably feel baby move. My midwives always tell you to try that when you're worried and it works with me.

How is everyone?

That's good about being able to use 1st class on the train now Flo, should make your journeys more comfortable for you.

I've had more movements today so my mind is at ease now, baby had a party earlier when I tried to have a nap. Couldn't get comfortable as they were proper kicking and rolling about!

I'm feeling so rough still, still got a cough and cold and still suffering with headaches. Got my GTT on Friday at the hospital so hoping to mention it to the midwife. Fed up of feeling so run down every day. Doesn't help that harper decided to wake every 2 hours last night and be completely awake 2-3.30am, I am exhausted today. She's always been a terrible sleeper but has got a lot better recently, we still have the odd week or so where it goes to pot tho and she wakes a lot. Really hope she'll start sleeping better more frequently when the baby comes along because I dread to think what its gonna be like with a newborn and a toddler waking at night! I can barely function now haha xx

I got my appointment through for a GTT but I'm not allowed it done and they all said don't worry you can be tested other ways but now it seems to be an issue :(

Hope you feel better soon fcroxy and that the test goes ok!

It's V day for me today, saying I'm 6 months is weird and realising I don't have 3 months left is a bit annoying! Am I the only one that only just realised pregnancy isn't 9 months long? Is anyone really hungry? I'm hungry all the time :(

If people ask I just say I've got 3 months to go. If she's like her brother she'll come early and I'll have a July baby. Since she is the complete opposite so far she'll probably make me wait!

Nicki: I'd also just say 3 months to go. People that really know know your due date and won't ask, others forget it all the time so doesn't matter much what you tell them ;-) it is annoying it's more than 9 months though... But you never know, maybe your baby'll be early :-)

The thing is pregnancy IS about exactly 9 months long-- because 4 weeks is less than a month, unless it's February on a non-leap year. And the first two weeks you're not actually pregnant. It's just a weird counting system. If you give birth exactly 9 months from conception that puts you at about 41+3. And at 24 weeks you're not quite 6 months.

I've done the math because this whole way of counting drives me nuts too haha

Hello ladies!!

Well.... I'm gonna start a thread in pregnancy chat because my hands are sore and swollen today - they've been soooo sore for weeks now but the last couple of days they've got worse and I haven't been at work (I wash dogs for a living) so that hasn't flared it up ... I am NOT googling it either but I'm worried about preeclampsia. :( hopefully not!! Xx

I've just realised I have 100 days til due date, tomorrow is double figures! How did that happen so quick?! X

Roxy tell me about it!!! Final countdown and tri 3 for us very very soon :| I cannot believe how quick this is flying!!
