***August 2016 Mummies***

Me too lexi, 24 weeks tomorrow. Where has the time gone?!! I feel so unprepared! Xx

hahaha I know! It is madness isn't it, I hope our babies turn up on time too hehe, I am kind of at the point where labour is becoming more of a reality now and I am starting to remember what it feels like  xx

Tri 2 is really flying by- I'm 21 weeks today yay! Aww will miss you guys when you go to Tri 3 x

Awww I will stick around in this thread til everyones moved over with us lol

Feel free Roxy to create the tri 3 thread or I can do again! xx

I'm hoping I don't go over due, had my daughter at 39+4.

I'll still be between the two tris too until everyone is over.

Thanks lexi but ill probably forget to start one so will leave it with you :)

How is everyone? Were potty training atm, day 2 so far with no nappies and it hasn't been as bad as i thought it would, thank god! I was really dreading going out in public without nappies but we've only had 2 accidents out so far. Still early days but really want Harper dry in the day before baby comes along. Xx

Ahhh congratulations Aes!!! That is soo cool!

Roxy oh goodness potty training is always fun, but to be fair I bet you will have it done in time for the baby you have 16 weeks lol! No pressure or anything!

I am allllll good thank you, busy with dogs at work which is always a bonus, I have had some major financial luck this week too, I got a loan to consolidate my debt and its reduced my monthly outgoings in half, I got cheaper home insurance and I just renewed my car insurance £200 cheaper than last year! Right touch! I have also managed to actually save some money this month too, only got a few more months to actually get saving so I better crack on really.

I can really feel the baby kicking outside my tummy now, it has taken long enough considering I started feeling movement at like 12 weeks this time around! It is lovely though. Adam is just thick, I put his hand on where he's kicking and he cant feel it but I definitely can so god knows how long its gonna take him to be able to feel it

I am all full of the joys of spring lately! haa xx

I think my oh wishes I would start nesting. I didn't with my son, but I was working right up until the end because I'd planned to start maternity at 38 weeks, and he was born at 37+2. Now I'm a SAHM I'm more tired now at the end of the day then I was while I was working. Think that has to do with having a 3 year old who is on the go constantly for 12-13 hours a day, and won't let me have 5 minutes to do the washing up!
Good luck with potty training, I've given up trying to potty train Sebastian at the moment! He's getting better, he will willingly go and sit on his potty, but only if he's got his nappy and trousers on!

Lovely scan pic Aes.

Flinty, I'm a SAHM this time too and much more tired than last time. When I was pregnant with Harper when I wasn't working I was napping, no chance of it this time haha. I have to do the majority of catching up on housework in the evenings after she's gone to bed but some days I'm so tired I really can't be bothered. Does your LO go to nursery/childminders? Harper doesn't yet so there's never much chance in the day for a rest. X

I'm home 24/7 too with my 4.5-year-old and 18-month-old and neither one goes to school or has a babysitter so I am also exhausted!

Good luck potty training Roxy! Sounds like she's doing great already! You'll get there. We're trying too, for the same reason. Children start school at 2.5yr here, for us that'll be November. We don't want to start training when the baby arrives but it's best he is trained when he goes to school... He does fine with me. Mostly I get him on the potty just in time or a second too late. He sits on the potty, does nothing in it and stays dry until he gets a diaper after 4 hours at the daycare. And with my mom he refuses to go on the potty, but happily walks around in his underwear and wets her floor every hour. We still have to work on it ;-) But I suppose it's already good he does it well at home with mummy and other environments and caretakers will follow eventually...

Roxy no he doesn't. I was going to send him in September for his 15 hours, but being due in August I really couldn't face having to get him and a newborn ready to go out to take him to nursery. I get lots of comments from people telling me I should put him into nursery because he'll be behind when he starts school, he needs to mix with other children and because 'I'll need a break'. My response is usually along the lines of, he's a bright little boy who is thriving at home, we mix with lots of different children, and hes happy to interact with them, he's not shy at all with children.

I get the same comments too flinty. I make sure we go to play groups 3-4 times a week and when its nice were at the park or beach or meeting other friends with kids. We also do a lot of activities at home like craft bits, messy play, puzzles, cooking etc. Harper is very bright too and her speech is amazing. I use to get annoyed with the comments but now I let them go over my head. Were not ready to send her to nursery just yet, they are only small once so wanna make the most of the time! We were thinking of sending Harper too around September after the holidays but I don't want her to feel like she's being pushed out as baby will only be here a few weeks before, so I think were gonna wait until January next year. X

Thanks Flo. Hope it goes well with you too. How old is your LO? It's a good start he's doing it at home, we started Harper off just doing it at home for the past 3-4 months but the other day I decided to bite the bullet and put her in knickers all day. No accidents so far this morning :) off to play group in a bit tho so a bit nervous about that but I'm sure it'll go better than what I imagine lol. Xx

He just turned 2 in March. How did it go at play group?
Flinty, if I had the chance I'd keep my son at home too. You can teach your child so much at home! I always feel bad there's only 2 days in the weekend to take him out, they don't explore much at daycare. It will be better at school.

Play group went fine thanks. We also went to a soft play area after and no accidents either. We've had no accidents at all today! Xx

My lb told me at bedtime he wanted to wear big boy pants, and he tried to take his nappy off! I'm not convinced he's ready, but may try pants while we're at home and see how he goes.

Ah bless him flinty. That's good he wants big boy pants. Defo try at home first for while, I think it'll make it easier for him when your ready to try in public. That's what we've done anyway for the past few months and 3rd day of no nappies in public we've had a completely dry day! Good luck xx

Hows everyone's weekend been? We've had a quiet one. Had a walk down the beach earlier making the most of the sunshine.

Baby has been so active today! Lovely to feel xx

Glad you are enjoying the weather roxy! My hubby is away on a boys Weekend so I've been enjoying some alone time, just me and the cats..absolute bliss!

Baby so active here too, even saw my stomach move earlier which has was incredible to see! Crazy to think we're only a few short weeks away from the third trimester, it's scary how fast it's flying by!
