Asking people to be Godparents

We are currently thinking of people we would like to ask to be Calums godparents and would like to ask them or doing something special to ask them and wondered what you did or how you might like to be asked to be a godparent?
Any advice or thoughts great appricated

We just visited our friends at their house and asked them. Never thought about doing anything special. It's a really good idea to do something special. xxx
