I'm using bio-oil twice a day (most days) unless I have a bath or shower when I cover myself in Body Shop cocoa butter afterwards.

But I think I'm going to get them anyway. My tummy is starting to get kind of prickly and itchy... not a good sign methinks. Hey Ho. :|

My belly is itchy and has been almost painful up the top from stretching for quite a while now and i dont have any stretch marks yet ( i cant see all the way around bump any more but i've had someone look for me lol)

I too though that the itching etc would mean they were coming very soon but so far they havnt so dont be disheartened, you never know

Ooooh that's encouraging - fingers crossed they stay away from me too!! :D

Sorry girlies but i used everything in my first pregnancy, palmers cocoa butter, bio oil the lot!! my friend is using pregnacare stretch mark cream and she has just got her first few (at 28 weeks).

I got them everywhere but my tummy (weird) ive got them on my thighs, inner leg, calves, boobs and my bum!! but after 5 years they have faded the ones on my hips are massive though!!

I think it to do with your skin type etc etc and if your going to get them your going to get them, but moisturising cant hurt. I get my OH to rub some on my tummy every night and when the baby kicks its so nice, it really makes him feel more involved!!

I know they dont look very nice at first but they are well worth it, just think some people have them and dont even have kids???!!

I used stretch mark cream with my son and got tons of stretch marks so I have given up this time cos they're already there. My skin is just the type to mark so I don't think any kind of cream would have helped. If you get them, you get them.

bio oil is good, but also been using E45 lotion everywhere else as my skin is sooooo dry all over. the E45 itch cream is bliss, especially when you feel like you want to claw your boobies off

Lindsay!!!
You might be shocked but I think its you! :?
I read in one of the pregnancy magazine a mum swearing by clarins oil and that she didnt get stretch marks in her first and now hoping not to in her second and soo i started using it as well!!
but, I actually do a mixture. I use the oil first then I use the cream i used to use which is vichy, its really good so far noo stretch marks.
