Don't get me wrong of course they have to travel to keep the media upto date on maddie but why can't they take the twins with them or one parent stay at the hotel...

Why do they have to travel? Didn't see Ben Needhams mum all over the world meeting the pope etc did you and people still remember that from all those years ago.

I doubt ANY mum on this forum or elsewhere if they had a child snatched would they leave their other kids with anyone - period! Especially after such a short time. I dont give a toss if the police are taking care of them, the family liason officer from the soham murders was caught under operation ore so you cant even bloody trust THEM!!!!

Telling ya, if this had happened here social services would be in like a shot case conferencing the twins.


Oh and when I took DD and her mate to Spain (they were 10 & 12) they were NEVER left alone in the room. My ex husband had a fit & called me paranoid as I wouldnt go out in the evenings and leave them on their own, we were a family, they were part of it, they can join us or I go nowhere.

I'm getting so sick of people slagging off the parents. Yes, we know they made a terrible mistake, but what good does it do to keep banging on about it. What will punishing them achieve?
As far as I can see it, they have recieved the maximum penalty. They are now serving a life sentence with no chance of reprieve. They lost their little girl. Nothing could be worse than that.
I just can't see the point in punishing them more...........

but poor madeleine has recieved a worse punishment because of her parents lack of care hasn't she?
shes most probably being repeatedly raped by men everyday and wil continue being for many years to come
i think thats a higher price to pay than their parents

that's heartbreakingly true, but the clock can't be turned back, more's the pity.
The person (people) who should be punished is the sicko (s) who took the little girl. No punishment is too harsh for those low-lifes. I'm not normally a violent person but when I think of sicko men hurting kids it makes me want to take a knife..............

The parents will never recover from this, they will never stop being punished. We should all leave them alone and let them grieve now.

they are now touring Europe and leaving their twins back in the algarve . The twins have lost a sister and now a mother and father ----- WHY!!!?? Why don't they use some of the money in their million pound fund and hire someone to go round Europe publicising Madeleine whilst they spend time with their twins and comfort them in theur grief??

Yeah obviously the people who took maddie should be punished but if her parents hadnt left her in the 1st place then no one would need punishin, they would have had a lovely holiday and maddie would of been at home to spend her birthday with her family not in the hands of some sicko who took a likin to poor little maddie

I think it was irresponsible of Madeliene's parents to leave the kids alone, especially in a foreign place where, presumably, you won't have the additional security to doors and locks as you would have at home. Also, even if there were no abductors around, what's to stop the kids wondering off themselves if they woke up?

The British police still seem to think it was somebody local and that she'll be found not far away from where she was taken. I'm not sure what their reasons are for thinking that, but there's some ex Scotland Yard detective talking about it on Sky today.

The money for the campaign has all come from donations. The family in the UK have set up a fund and are using it to publicise their plight and raise awarenenss of child abduction as a whole........

What so because I leave Harrison unnatended when i'm in the shower, toilet, cooking dinner...... im not in my right mind?? am I a bad parent because of this??
