Aptamil Comfort advice please

So I had been using The normal Aptamil since LO was born 7 weeks ago. Had issues winding her and also burping, so HV said to use the Aptamil comfort for one tin, then go back to the normal Aptamil. Finished the comfort and went back to the normal, and LO now won't feed properly. Anyone else noticed this? We've tried to keep with the normal Aptamil, but she's taking a few sips, pushing the teat out with her tongue then it's a fight for us to get much more in her. Usually she had 5oz, now we are lucky to get her to take 2 oz. Then she wakes an hr later hungry. I've just been out to buy more of the comfort one and she's taken almost the 5oz and gone to sleep content. Is it ok to continue with it?

No advise but if it was me I would continue like you are. Happy Baby = happy Mum !!! My sisters LO was on comfort from a young age and she didn't stop until she was old enough for cows milk !!xxx

Great, thanks. I wasn't sure if the comfort one was for short term use only. She's so much more content on it.

Yes it's safe to use it long term, I did with my little boy. The only problem I came across was sometimes it was hard to get hold of, something to do with the suppliers running low on a certain ingredient on it so I was told.x

Thanks, yes I noticed it's not the easiest to get hold of. 4 supermarkets over the weekend before I found some. I might make sure I keep a few tins spare just in case.

my son was on cow & gate comfort form quite young until he went on follow up milks.....so a good few months! If she likes it and it agrees with her, then it's fine. maybe it tastes nicer too.

Yeah I'm going to stick with it. She's not spewing so much, actually drinks it and pooing every 2 days rather than 3

Hi Toria,
I know this thread is a bit old, but i'm having problems with winding my lo on the normal aptimal....ive got the comfort but am also using dr browns bottles, which seems really hard for baby to suck as the formula is so much thicker. Which bottle/teet did you find best? and are you still using the comfort now? x
