**** April 2019 mummies ****

I’m going to join you!
Got a very faint bfp this morning! But it’s there and that is all that matters.
Estimated due date is same as you laura, 2nd April but I know it’ll be pushed back at the scan. Same happened with ds, was pushed back a week then went 13 days overdue! :wall2:

Hopefully lots more people will join us! And fx we all have sticky beans.

Xx

Congratulations! Will add your EDD to the list xx

It’s lovsly to see we are getting quite a few April mummies now :-)

I saw a post earlier somewhere else saying that because of all of this hot weather people are not DTD and therefore there’ll be a lot less May babies next year... a midwife then said that they’ll be happy for the break because they’re expecting an April baby boom post World Cup celebrations haha. Our babies may well be known as World Cup babies haha.

Haha this is what I thought! I conceived the day after we got through to semi finals so I know I will be thought of as World Cup baby. Even though hubby doesn’t even like football haha oh well!

Hope everyone is doing well <3

This is hilarious but very believeable

Ha! Definitely not a World Cup baby here! Funny though! You’re right, I’m glad I’ve got my bfp though, the thought of dtd in this heat!! :shakehead:

I agree! Much to hot for that!

I’m not having a World Cup baby either but no doubt my friends and family will think it is because my hubby loves footy haha.

Anyway, I’ve got an app that tells me the size of the little one and so far it’s the size of a poppy seed/grain of sugar at 4wks 5days. I sat back today and thought about how crazy it is that something so tiny can fill me with such happiness, hope and hormones! Haha. It truly is amazing :-)

I’ve got a few apps I’m using at the moment but not set on any of them. Any recommendations?

I would also like to know of any good pregnancy apps. Ive also downloaded which arent great. X

I haven’t got any I love but I like pregnancy+ you can tap the picture of the baby and it moves and there’s nice features like a timeline where you can see what to expect at what weeks gestation etc

So confused though getting 3 different dates in when I put in that I ovulated latest is 1st of April?!? Will just have to wait for my dating scan x

Has anyone contacted gp/midwife since getting their bfp? I havent yet, should i have done? Sounds silly but i cant remember what i did when i had my first

I’ve booked an appointment with the GP for Wednesday. I just followed the NHS website advice which said to contact them as soon as you know. Then they refer you to the midwife (from what I’ve read) who then refers you for your scan. From what I’ve seen on these forums if you see the midwife too late then your 12 week scan may be delayed because they get booked up. I’ve got a hen party at the end of September with my besties so I’m really hoping I have my scan beforehand so I’m reassured and can show them the pic beforehand too. I also can’t wait to see our baby for the first time.

Maybe just see when the next GP appointment is and get it booked in?

So far I’ve downloaded Pregnancy +, Ovia (which gives you daily emails and advice) and Baby Story which is a good photo app with layers and artwork for x weeks and April Baby etc...

I want to tell people too but I’m sure it’s just my first time excitement. Don’t want to jinx it so I’ll be keeping quiet until my scan... feels like forever away though

I didn’t really use an app in my first pregnancy but I got weekly emails from parenting.com I think.
I’m testing again tomorrow as my line was really feint. I could only get my hands on a blue die test though unfortunately!
I’ll phone the dr next week and I’m visiting family in Northern Ireland next weekend so I’ll probably tell them straight away. They would be wondering why I’m not having any wine so they’d probably work it out anyway!
My theory is tell the people you would want to know if something went wrong .

I have the Ovia app which is good.

I spoke to the docs a couple of weeks ago and she booked me straight in with the midwife for the 7th August (I'll be 9 weeks by then) and said no need to go to the doc. Defo get yourself calling up sooner rather than later as you don't want to be waiting forever for the scan letter. Sooner you see the midwife the better :)

So happy with my lines this morning, first test was so feint. But lines like this on a blue dye have certainly put my mind at rest. :)
