People who have had or got that booking appointment and scan appointment how far gone were you? I'm 8 wks 4 and waiting for booking appointment.

Hi Lotty, I just made an appt with the midwife directly for 8+5 weeks and I'm now waiting for a scan date. For my last when I lived in a different area I was referred by my GP for the appt. Your booking in appointment should happen around 8 weeks so I'd chase up with your local midwife team.

Thanks Pambi, I thought I should have an appointment soon, I will chase them up tomorrow. Yes I have to book it through my gp.
Can't wait to know the date of scan and booking appointment then it starts actually feeling real doesn't it.
I've also booked a private scan for next Saturday.

Good morning all,
So I am a first time mummy to be, My partner and I are due April 23rd (day after my birthday, what a gift!) that makes me 7 weeks.
I am extremely nervous and cannot wait for my scan just so I can have a sigh of relief!
I want to shout it out from the rooftops but trying to keep it a secret till after my sisters wedding as I don't want to steal her lime light.

I have just chased up my booking appointment and it isn't until 26th of September .... I'll be 11 weeks 5 days by then.
Is this normal? I thought point of having an earlier appointment because they have to do tests etc? God knows when my first scan with NHS will be.
I have booked a private scan as I got a positive result 9 days before period was due so thinking I might be a little bit further gone.

Hi All,
So I finally got my BFP on 19/08/2016 and its slowly starting to sink in. I was initially pregnant in December last year but unfortunately lost it. We went through some horrendous emotions and finally started trying again on June Cycle. I've now got a due date of April 27th 2017 and I guess now its becoming more real I'm starting to Panic. I'm 37 so at the older end of things and my husband is 46 and already has two 20+ year old daughters with an ex wife. I'm starting to panic now about what their reaction will be and whether they will resent their dad for it and in turn it causes our relationship to have problems, he is also worrying about being too old, having enough money, being too tired to do it and I feel like he's not that happy about it - despite us both agreeing its what we wanted. He has said he is but he's worried and feels numb etc etc and I feel like I'm going mad because I'm trying to take on board all these issues and I don't know where to turn. I dont really have a large support network and noone knows yet as we are waiting for the 12 weeks to pass before going public. Anyone help with any advice?

Thanks Darcy, feel really alone and a bit scared right now- hubby has worries it will tear us apart as our relationship dynamic is just the two of us and we lose our freedom- it's upsetting because of all the worries
I have, not being closer to him than ever isn't even on the radar. I want to enjoy my first pregnancy and have it positive but all this is tainting it.

Hi, from my last period, my due date would be the 9th of April, but had an early scan at 5 plus 5, and they saw a heartbeat, so said I must have been 6 weeks then, which would change my due date to the 7th of April. They said the 12 week scan would give a better idea.

My booking appointment will be almost 11 weeks and then my scan is 13 weeks so I wouldn't worry about it. Guidelines state scan should be any time between 8-13 weeks I'm sure. I'm in Scotland so miht be slightly different. Hope you get date through soon
