I bought a Silk Epil Wet and Dry and using it is like torture and it doesn't even leave me feeling smooth!

It is almost as if the hairs are being snapped instead of plucked and the growth is back aftera couple of weeks...

I feel like i have tried using it in all sorts of ways.

Little circles, big circles, up and down, left and right - as far as i can tell it isn't working properly.

Anyone got some advice?

Hi i recently bought the same one i have used it a few times already the first time i used it i had quite long hairs, i thought longer would be better, i was wrong it was sooooo painful i had to stop.

i have since tried it with very short hair and it wasnt so painful i managed to finish both legs :)

i do agree that you have to go over the same area quite a few times to remove all the hairs, but i think if you keep doing it regulary with very short hair it will eventually remove all the hairs, to leave a smooth finish well thats what i am hoping anyway :)

JUST A LITTLE TIP i read if you rub sudocrem on to your legs after eplilation it helps reduce the red bumps and leave your legs smoother.

I used an epilator years ago (like maybe 8 years!) and it was awful. I got rid of it. It kind of tugged at the hairs without pulling them out properly (ouch!) and only managed to pluck out 1 in 10 hairs. It was so nerve wracking cos it would be doing nothing then suddenly ...ouch! I prefer waxing, I can wax my own legs. I like the idea of an epilator cos its less messy. I was tempted by this new wet and dry one and the claims about removing hair as small as a grain of sand! Maybe I wont bother!!

Thanks for the replies :)

I was considering gettinng waxed a few times and then hopefully the epilator won't hurt so much!

yeah I think thats a good idea. With waxing its one quick second when they rip off the strip, which is much better in my opinion! I have just been researching and am tempted to give epilating another go, as getting to a salon with the LO wont be very easy.

Just found this one http://www.bargainstock.co.uk/Product.asp?pid=1506 which is more affordable if I dont get on with it!

I think you're onto a winner with that one :) Check how long the battery lasts.

The one i have lasts an hour and that doesn't seem to get me very far at the moment. Cutting out when your not done can be a real pain

The wet and dry feature is really great - it hurts less in the bath covered in suds :good:

Epilator is used by most of the female, i do use it but it depends which one you use, there are lots of types available.

Never have used one.. And now I don't think I will  I just go old school  Shaving is way too convenient lol tried letting them grow once for a wax but when you are in the shower and you have legs that resemble Bigfoots it's hard not to sort them  xx
